New tires for my 2006 Landmark Shenandoah

It's time for new tires for my 2006 Landmark Shenandoah. Loaded weight 14K lbs. The Goodyear LT235/85R16 was the go to tire. I was a little shocked at the $2400 price. Any recommendations for a comparable tire that costs less?

    2006 Landmark Roof Construction

To anyone interested. I pulled down the fan shroud off the toilet room and was able to measure the roof. The EPDM is less than 1/16" and the luan (particle board) is 3/8". A metal fabricator told me the trusses were probably 1/16" thick but no more than 1/8".

    2006 Landmark Roof Construction

Thanks for the feedback Jim. I called Heartland and spoke with a young guy that was absolutely no help at all. Do you have a name of somebody I could ask to speak with that has some history at Heartland? The brochure was helpful and quite an interesting read. I downloaded it for future...

    2006 Landmark Roof Construction

Does anybody have knowledge of the roof construction on the 2006 Landmarks. I know they had the aluminum trusses. I believe it was then layered with particle board then luan and then the EPDM covering. I need to know if this is correct and also what the thickness is of the luan, particle board...

    Roof Delamination

I have a 2006 Landmark Shenandoah. The luan underneath the rubber epdm has delaminated from the trusses by the bath vent over to the opposite side. It goes from one truss to 4' over to the third truss over. It is ok 6" to 8" in from the sides but in the center is springy and is up approx. 1". I...

    On-board air compressors

I have the Firestone Dual Air Command II with the auxiliary air tank and hose. You can pump up each air bag seperately although I travel with both set the same at 50 psi usuallly. It is nice to be able to change the air pressure on the fly if the road condition dictates it. I have a steep...

    replacing hydraulic lines

Tom Is it possible to replace the fitting without pulling the lines out? I've been told I have to pull them out to have a new fitting put on. I'd be willing to take a chance on that if it can be done. Please advise! Thanks!

    replacing hydraulic lines

My fittings are leaking between the crimp and the stationary nut so I have to replace the whole line. I would consider myself insane to remove the Chinese made lines, put a new fitting on and put them back in. I want some REAL hydraulic lines.

    replacing hydraulic lines

I have a 2006 Landmark Shenendoah. Because the fittings are leaking going to the slideouts I need to relace the hydraulic lines. More Chinese crap:mad:. Since I'll have to drop the bottom to access the lines I've decided to replace all the lines. I have three front jack lines leaking also...

    hydraulic hose leaks

I have a 06' Landmark. I have had several problems with the hydraulic hoses leaking. They don't leak at the fitting but at the junction where the end fitting is crimped onto the hose. I have replaced four hoses only to have the new ones leak. They were purcased from Lippert. The only hoses to...

    I'm Getting Wet!

I have a o6 Landmark Shenandoah. Because of the gap between the end of the awning and the slideout by the front door when it rains the area in front of the door gets soaked. I have been trying to figure out how to arrange a tarp over that opening and still have the rain sensor engaged on the...

    Fresh Water Tank Leak

I found the leak I lucked out. Because the leak occurred when I put even a small amount of water in the tank I was afraid it was a crack in the bottom of the tank. It was in the vinyl flex hose that goes from the filler opening to the tank. It sags down below the level of the bottom of the tank...

    Fresh Water Tank Leak

I have a 06 Landmark (Shenandoah) with an apparent fresh water tank leak. It also leaks close to that corner at a low point of the underbelly. I emptied...

    Hydraulic system repair and bleeding

Hydraulic hose repair Sorry for the delay in getting back to you! I do not believe you can cut these lines to repair them. Hydraulic system repair and bleeding

I have a 06' Landmark. I have to replace 2 hoses to the front jacks. I have contacted Jim at Lippert and received some guidelines but they don't relate to the pump assembly I have. Ultralube wheel bearing repacking

AL-KO recommends that the Ultralube wheel bearings should be totally disassembled, inspected and repacked every 6K miles or every 6 months, whichever occurs first. This seems like an overkill to me. How often are you servicing these? Are there any horror stories I should know about? What's the...

Has anyone installed a generator in a landmark?
