Not Going to lie, pretty dissapointed with Heartland's North Trail product

Well, The North Trail towed well on the way down to DC. Finally, after having the unit for six months I was not white knuckled driving. Unfortunately, on my way home after the Marathon a woman side swiped my trailer and it was totaled. I really wish I could consider another Heartland product...

Loss of Crown on one Axle -

They fixed the axles and made adjustments to the ball height. I only have brought it home from the dealer and spent 10 minutes or so on the highway. It does seem to be better. We are going on a family vacation later this month to D.C.. This is a trip from Massachusetts, so I will definately have...

Loss of Crown on one Axle -

BTW, you also might want to throw a level on em.. Here is what mine looked like . They will probably cover the tires to, if they cover the axle. Plus with the axle flattening out it will also but too much weight on the "good" axle which will result in 2 bad axles. At least that's what my dealer...

    Heartland = Quality??

My son and I have watched the Ultimate Factories (Winnebago Company). I know that Heartland does not make most of there own parts but is this basically how you guys build your trailers (minus the obvious difference that the show is utlizing the build of a Class A)?

Not Going to lie, pretty dissapointed with Heartland's North Trail product

The Friendly Beaver is where a bunch of my friends have been going for years. We joined them this year. It was a great time and the camp ground was pretty good. The last part we are waiting for to come in is the motor housing on the rear stabilizer jack so it will be protected from the...

Not Going to lie, pretty dissapointed with Heartland's North Trail product

I sincerely appreciate the responses. I know that my number of issues that have gone wrong with my rig is not the "norm". @Danemayer, I guess your right, that it doesn't make sense to stock every part for the rig. I was really thinking about the axles and thought it would have been easier and...

Not Going to lie, pretty dissapointed with Heartland's North Trail product

I did do a PDI but I didn't take covers off to check plumbing and I didn't ask them to hook up the water. The ground clearance issue was partly due to the sagging of the axles which is something that I would not have picked up on a PDI.. I just don't know enough mechanically to diagnose that...

Trailer seems to be too low/scrapes the decline as we leave gas stations

How is it towing? Mine had been towing terrible since we picked it up in March. Turns out, we have two bad axles which have since been replaced. This made the unit sit even lower than it should have. Which casued damage to the rear stabilizer jacks as well as Gray #2 termination point on our NT...

    North Trails at Rallies

@znk. I hope so. If, not I will be sure to make my own thread and discuss how my NT owning experience has been thus far (in intimate detail). But the long and the short of it is, 2 bad axles, bad outside kitchen door, front wall needs to be replaced, bad lp detector, bad propane heater...

    North Trails at Rallies

If the NT rallies were at the repair shop for all of the items wrong with my trailer then we would be there too. Sadly, we are paying for a new (2012) rig which needs to be just about completely overhauled. Has spent numerous dates in the "shop" for serious safety, working and cosmetic issues.

    Laser or no laser

Lasers are good in theory. I have one on my Body guard 380. My duty weapon is a Glock 22. Most fire arms confrontations take place in less than 10 feet and last less than 3 seconds. If your messing around with a laser you might as well kiss your keister goodbye. JMHO
