    black tank flush system

We just bought a brand new North Trail and I am having the same problem. Used the black tank flush one time and walked back inside to find the inside of the bathroom cabinet soaked and water running under the wall into the hallway. Without sounding cheesy, I'm not a happy camper. Now I guess...

North Trail T225 Focus Edition... Any owners out there?

My wife and I are very happy owners of an MPG 183 and are looking to sell/trade it and purchase the T225 Focus Edition. Are there any owners out there on the forum? If so, give me the low down on the model... please? Thanks and safe travels, "Foxhunt"

    Who pulls with a Tundra??

Even if you loaded the trailer to max GVWR and you were not filling the bed full of heavy stuff, you would be well under the TR and TW on the Tundra. I would recommend a weight distribution hitch (600lb version) and a friction sway bar just to make the drive more relaxing and comfortable.

Questions about 183 entertainment center & bunks

The bottom bunk also raises up and can be "latched" in place to access the pass through storage in the rear. No need to cut anything out. The top bunk can also be locked into the raised position with a simple sliding latch.

    Leaking toilet anyone?

Re: Leaking toiler anyone? I will take a look at the "throne" this coming weekend to see which model it is. A few of them look really similar, not sure which we have. I appreciate the posts, hopefully I can get it figured out... I hate water leaks, especially when I don't have the time to fix...

    Leaking toilet anyone?

Re: Leaking toiler anyone? We just bought the trailer (MPG 183)-It is a 2012 model, and I have no clue what toilet is in it. The flush mechanism is on the front, and when I was looking (what I could) around the back, it appears to have the hard blue plastic water line running into the...

    Leaking toilet anyone?

Hey folks! My wife and I have had our new to us 183 out two (4-day) weekends in a row, and on about day 2 of the most recent weekend, we discovered a bit of water on the floor of the shower. I traced the water around the right side (facing the toilet) and to the back. I can feel dampness up...

SOLVED: Please Help with Water pump/ Heater etc..

Re: Please Help with Water pump/ Heater etc.. In case a 183 owner reads this looking for the same solution, the pump is located just inside the door, at floor level, behind the small panel. You will need to move the extinguisher to get to the screws. OP: I posted here, but it didn't show up...

    MPG Gas Mileage

I can't tell you what we get towing, but I will post again after this weekend when we take our 183 out on her maiden voyage! I would like to point out a few things regarding fuel mileage that apply to towing and regular driving... -Always maintain proper air pressure in your tires! Under...

ATF: MPG - Poor TV Antennae Signal

Jason, On your swap, did you just swap the head? (about $40 on eBay) or did you but the whole set-up (about $140ish)?? I've seen posts that have knobs to turn the antenna and some with lights to indicate the signal strength. Which mod did you go fo? I'm very interested in doing this, but...

ATF: MPG - Storage Door Locks

I ordered all new locks from the site I linked. Time will tell how they hold up. I almost pulled the trigger on the "pop machine" style keyed locks. A little pricey for me at this point.. trying to outfit the thing with other stuff since it is new to us

ATF: MPG - Storage Door Locks

Ok, I found this link that at least describes the measurements... thought I would share it here in case someone else has the same question later on down the road.. http://www.mrlock.com/mfg/lsda/tubular_cam_locks.html

ATF: MPG - Storage Door Locks

Also, how do you search for an existing thread without starting a new one? If I type "lock" or locks or door locks, I get responses for anything and everything except locks. The search function does not work at all for me, just trying to prevent multiple threads with the same topic. (and save...

ATF: MPG - Storage Door Locks

I flipped the tabs on the back because a few were too tight for my liking. The locks that need replaced are beyond lube... I tried that and they are still too messed up to turn. I can order locks from camping world, but the measurements (5/8, 7/8, etc etc) don't specify what you are...

ATF: MPG - Storage Door Locks

Our 2012 MPG 183 has several outside storage compartment locks that absolutely will not work. I am interested in replacing them, which is pretty simple to do, but I am scratching my head as to what size they are. Are the locks 7/8"? Where can the locks be purchased so that they are keyed...

ATF: MPG - Poor TV Antennae Signal

What stations can you get with the antennae?? I was under the impression that with the digital conversion, there were no more analog stations being broadcast. Are you all using a digital converter box to get stations??

ATF: MPG - Front Stabilizer Jacks

I added front stabilizer jacks and did so without moving the gas line. I ordered the jacks off of eBay (granted they are made in China, they are no lesser quality than the ones installed from the factory). The jacks are identical to the ones on the back, and I installed them by only securing...

    Flag Pole Mount...

I know this isn't the place for the question, but is there a way to view responses to posts you've made without navigating the entire site? The search box does nothing for me. If I searched tire sizes it would give me results for flavored coffee. I'm not sure what is going on here... (new to...

    Flag Pole Mount...

The trailer is a 183, and I installed a 12' Dometic Trim Line awning from camping world on it. I have an 11' on our pop-up and it works great. It is a bit of a pain in the rear to roll it up, and a small folding step ladder is required (or a picnic table if there is one near-by!). Here is...

Looking for design ideas on tapered front jack leveling blocks

I'm not familiar with your trailer's setup, and whether or not the jacks can support the trailer weight entirely, but if rear bumper clearance is an issue, simply crib the rear jacks and/or axles a few inches to raise the trailer slightly (before leveling if pulling up on the 2X6 etc). Sure...

    Flying the flag

We always fly the US Flag and she always has a light at night. In years past, we didn't always have a way to hang it, so we unwound some para-cord and strung her vertically between two trees. In lieu of a light, we used a torch to light it up. It was chilling seeing the flicker of the fire...

    Flag Pole Mount...

I took Johndar's advice and went ahead and made the mount using a slightly larger PVC pipe and three brackets. I also drilled four holes (through both pipes)... each pair is perpendicular to the other to prevent the pole from being sloppy inside the other (they are not snug for ease of set-up)...

    Flag Pole Mount...

That would certainly work. I may swing by the "home improvement" store and pick up some hardware to do the mounting. I am trying to keep the movement at the base to a minimum to prevent the pole from getting too sloppy. I could drill two holes (perpendicular to each other) and run a bolt with...

    Flag Pole Mount...

First let me apologize for starting a thread that I am certain already exists somewhere out in the world wide web. When I search on this site, I get topics that couldn't be more unrelated to the key word(s) that I type in... so with that said, here goes... I have a 9' Flag Pole made from PVC...

New to us 183-Furnace didn't want to start up... not sure why??

I've done some wire "tugging" and connection checking and so far there is no interuption in power. Once it kicked on, I haven't had an issue with it. I would almost rather it not work at this point so I can trouble-shoot it in the driveway and not the campground. I apprecate the responses, I...

New to us 183-Furnace didn't want to start up... not sure why??

My wife and I decided to go ahead with the purchase of a 2012 MPG 183 on Saturday. We did the walk through and everything seemed to be working fine, including the furnace. I was told that to operate the furnace, I just slide the thermostat to the right (with the gas on of course). I got...

Wheels Seem Out of Plumb on My MPG

I can't tell you much about tire wear etc., but I can tell you that you're not alone. We brought our 183 home today and looking in the mirror I can see the tires are not exactley perpendicular to the ground.

Is anyone towing with a Honda Pilot?

Greetings! My wife and I are seriously considering taking the plunge and leaving the world of pop-ups and moving into a 183. We have a 2010 Pilot (4500 tow rating/450 tongue weight). I understand the hitch weight (dry) is around 341lbs. What do you find your hitch weight is when loaded...
