Best way to get stickers off ?

I seem to be a little late to the party but, sticker removal is yet another use for WD-40.

    front cap seal

My Cyclone did the same thing. There is an aluminum band under the white vinyl strip that is popping out. The band is screwed through the front cap into the trailer frame. The real problem is when the factory installs the screws it does not use clearance holes in the aluminum band which causes...

What are you towing your Cyclone 4012 with

I tow with an '08 F-450 and it does just fine. Very stable with enough power( is there ever enough power?)mileage hovers around 8.0 to 8.5 when towing, 12 to 12.5 average when not towing. I can't imagine towing with an F-250 or 2500. A 4012 is HEAVY! Russ

new Heartland - what truck would be the best?

If I'm remembering correctly the pin weight for my 4012 is around 4100lbs empty. Once the motorcycles are on board they act as a counterweight and reduce the pin weight a few hundred pounds at best. Russ

new Heartland - what truck would be the best?

I have a 4012 Cyclone and tow with a F-450. These fifth wheels are HEAVY I would suggest getting the most truck you can. Towing one of these with a 2500 would definitely not be a good idea. Good Luck and enjoy your new fifth wheel! Russ

    water heater bypass valves!!!!

Sorry for the late response, haven't been checking the forum lately. On my 4012 if you open the cabinet under the kitchen sink and remove the panel on the right side you can access the valves behind the water heater. Russ

    YIKES! Mouse in the house!!

I have had great success with Downey drier sheets. Yes the ones you throw in the drier to soften your fabrics. It must be the scent they give off. I throw them behind drawers, in closets and under furniture. Not only will mice be repelled but even bugs and spiders seem to disappear.

    Extended range fuel tank

Here is a link to Transfer Flow. http://www.transferflow.com/toolbox_tanks_0.html It has been a year since I installed this setup, and as I recall not every manufacturer was DOT certified. This product has been flawless.

    Extended range fuel tank

I went with a transfer flow tank / toolbox combo. Installation took a few hours, and went very well. It adds 50 gallons capacity and has a computer controlled transfer pump that gradually adds fuel to your main tank as needed. There is a digital readout to mount on your dashboard to inform you...

    4012 electrical problem

There are many parasitic loads on the 4012. I found that turning the battery disconnect switch off in the battery compartment was neccesary. The second problem was that the RV came with one 12v deep cycle battery. I replaced it with two 6v T-125 deep cycle batteries wired in series to provide...

    2008 Ford F450 6.4L Twin Turbo Big Horn 3600RL

I installed a transfer flow fuel tank and toolbox combo so my combined capacity is 88 gallons. The transfer flow equipment is well made and has been trouble free. Right now deisel in Rhode Island is 3.20 a gallon

    2008 Ford F450 6.4L Twin Turbo Big Horn 3600RL

Our 450 is great also. We pull a 4012 and though you never forget it's back there, It does tow like a dream. I had a 2004 F-450 6.0 deisel cab and chassis with a custom made 9' bed made out of two 8' beds. The new truck is a definite improvement, except for fuel mileage. I'm most impressed with...

    4012 Due in July 20th, 2007

Congratulations and best of luck with your new rig!, I have a 2008 Cyclone 4012 and I love the floor plan, there is plenty of room to entertain. Read up on everything on the forum there is plenty of information to gather. I have run into just about everything that is posted. If you are handy...

Bedroom Slide Roller Bracket Came Loose

I realize that I'm a little late to the party, but I had the same problem on my 2008 4012. The two top screws on the front roller had sheared the heads off. My fix was to use larger screws to replace the ones that had broken. While I had the plywood off the bed frame I used automotive urethane...

I own a 4012 and this is where Heartland really stands ahead of any other manufacturer that I have encountered. My Cyclone is insulated like an icebox.

    4012, only a 45gal grey tank.....

This sounds familiar. I posted this question months ago. I was told there was no room for two grey tanks because of the third slideout. My solution was to purchase a twenty five gallon "honey wagon" in case the grey tank fills up. Figured it would be alot easier to tow that to the dump station...

    Cyclone are a good rig!

I have to second that Loco! I have a 4012 Full Throttle and have yet to actually camp with it. The weather is just breaking here in Rhode Island so we will get out soon. I have been doing some preventive maintenance under the rig and this weekend I will be routing my water tank vents just as you...

    new 4012

Scott, I'm still confused, the monitor panel in my 4012 has a grey two on the panel and it lights up as empty. When we looked at a 2007 model at the Boston rv show it had two grey tanks even with triple slides. One other quick question. My invoice indicates a stainless steel microwave and...

    new 4012

Scott, Thanks for getting back to me. I thought the 2007 models had two grey tanks and they had the same floor plan. Just curious. I suppose if we're staying long enough to fill forty five gallons we could use a honey wagon to dump the grey water. It just took me by surprise. Flat Top &...

    new 4012

Scott, I hope I am mistaken, I was told by the dealer it has only one tank, there is only one pull handle for grey water ( and one for black of course), and if you look at the specification chart on the web site it states 45 galllons where the others state 90 gallons. Russ

    new 4012

We picked up our cyclone 4012 this week. Looking forward to checking it out extensively this weekend. It's still winter in Rhode Island. Am I mistaken or did this model have two forty five gallon grey water tanks? Mine is a 2008 model and it has only one! What happened? Is there a reason it...

Congratulations! Congratualtions on your new purchase. I'm due to pick up our new cyclone 4012 this coming week and the waiting is killing me! I had Mission tires on my 20 ft. tandem axle cargo trailer and had one shred on the way to Stugis bike week. While there I removed all the wheels and...

    possible upgrades

Scott, thanks for the response. I now understand why the factory can't do the upgrades that Loco and Chopper Bill have done. Now I'm even more excited to pick up the cyclone and dig in! Also, thanks to Gawelsh for responding. Russ

    possible upgrades

Hello, I'm posting for the first time. We just purchaced a cyclone 4012 w/full throttle / metal av pkg. We pick it up in a week or so. I have been reading about the water tank problems such as venting/siphoning and falling down through the supports. These problems where on 3795 models. Do these...
