My generator has always been difficult to start on my 08 3210 and really has never ran properly. I finally discovered that there is a spring loaded check-ball in the outlet fitting on the gas tank where the generator fuel line attaches. This check-ball should open when the generator fuel pump...
The emulsion tube is inside the carb. When you remove what appears to be the bowl drain plug, the emulsion tube comes out. The altitude compensation adjustment should be turned all the way counter-clockwise for sea level. If the carb is clean and working properly, you shouldn't have to mess...
Sounds like the emulsion tube and/or altitude compensation oriffice are partially plugged. My generator had the exact symptoms after I let it set for too long and the gas in the bowl congealed. If you're familiar with carbs you will find that this one is pretty simple and is very easy to...
Pinweights on these toyhaulers -- even a 3210 -- sure can get up there -- especially when the garage isn't loaded. My 2500 Dodge pulled and stopped my 3210 just fine, but just the fact that I HAD to use airbags made me feel like I was pushing the issue on pinweight -- hence -- the new truck in...
I've towed my 3210 with a 2500 Dodge CTD for several years. Never had any problems. I did add air bags and don't needlessly haul around fuel water and fuel tanks. Your 1-ton SRW won't have any problems handling a 3210. Just get a good brake controller and always remember you're towing a 33...
The timer on my Cyclone 3210 does the same thing. It worked OK for a few months, but won't work now. Looks like there might be some defective timers out there.
I always try to limit the amount of water (clean) left in the sewer hose after I flush it. I think (hope) there isn't enough water trapped in the hose to cause any serious problems.
The little compartment by the handles is designed (?) for a real short sewer hose.

No rear bumper on the back of my 08 3210. I keep my hose stored inside the compartment where the kitchen gray water tank release handle is located. Lots of unused space in there. A 20' sewer hose (with all of the fittings attached) fits without any problem.

I have the same problem. My pump won't pick-up the water if the gauge reads 1/3 or less. I suspect the pump doesn't pull from the bottom of the tank and I also suspect the gauge isn't very accurate either. When the gauge reads 1/3, I've opened up the tank drain and some water came out, but...
Rick,
If you decide to move your TV to the entertainment center, please post some photos and instructions. I've been kicking around the idea of moving mine, but havent' had the nerve to tackle it yet.
Jett
Loco,
Thanks for the info. I'll definitely keep a close eye on the sealant around my slide-out. I've had problems in that area -- not related to water intrusion -- so I'm being extra cautious. (Both of my rollers pulled loose from the coach side frame. Heartland authorized a repair that...
RIO,
I think you will love your 3210. I also gave a lot of though to buying one of the larger Heartland toyhaulers, but since we do most of our camping in state parks and COE partks, I didn't want the added hassles of maneuvering around 40 feet of camper in tight spaces. I also had a...
Based on my experience, I'd say Cyclone design and construction quality is better than most, but still has room for improvement. However (again -- based on my experience) Heartland is much better about standing behind their product than most RV manufacturers. I had some really bad experiences...
Detmer,
I see you also have a 2500 Dodge. If you havent' already, you will definitely need air bags to help eliminate the "bounce" when you hit big bumps on the interstates. I installed some on my truck a few months ago -- one of the best towing improvements I've made.
I'm sure you will love your 3210. My wife and I have really enjoyed ours. We had some issues with our dealer and our 3210 in the beginning, but Heartland stepped-in and took care of everything. Great customer service.
Jett
I'm having the exact same problem with my 3210 -- I suspect the 3210 and 3950 have the same fuel system.
My system worked fine the last time I used it -- last fall, but now it cuts-off after less than 30 seconds. I suspect the problem is in the timed relay system, but I'm not sure. I guess...
Racermom,
Is your water heater securely fastened to the wall and sealed? Mine was loose and allowed water to leak into our 3210. The water then ran under the cabinets and onto the floor.

Truknutt,
Most of the problems on my 3210 showed themselves within the first few weeks. After I fixed the initial major problems myself (water heater and slide roller), I only had very minor issues crop-up for several months. Heartland had contacted me, so I decided to wait until after the...
I just wanted to let everyone know Heartland went FAR above what I'd expect to make everything right on my 3210. After I got off to a very rocky start the first few weeks with my 3210 and dealer, Heartland stepped-in and took care of everything. They let me take my 3210 to a "non-Heartland"...
TrukNutt,
The configuration on my 3210 is a little different, but I suspect the switch is for the water pump -- allows you to turn-on the water pump without having to go inside. Comes in handy when you use the the outside water sprayer.
TrukNutt,
My "08" has to be one of the first 08's that came out of the factory -- I bought it in Feb 07.
(a) Mine only has 1 gray water tank (I sure wish it had 2)
(b) The "tool box" is over rated -- the lid is more trouble than it's worth. I'll probably remove mine one of these days.
(c)...
Truknutt,
Is the "missing" door a factory mid-year change, or big oversight? My O8 3210 definitely has an access door from the outside. You are right about the interior door from the kitchen not clearing the fender of a bike tied-down on that side. (The door actually hits my tie-down strap...
Aamus,
The roller was a real bear to access on my 08 3210. I don't know if they are this hard to access on the other models.
I completely removed the bed plywood AND frame. I had to pull-up a small portion of carpet and remove a particle board "access" panel over the roller. Once that...
The screen on my 3210 won't stay down either. I haven't tried to adjust anything yet. In fact, I had forgotten about it until I read this post. Are the "locks" the little button-head screws located about an inch or so from the bottom of each track?
Update -- The factory has contacted us by email and phone on Friday and today regarding the problems we've had with our Cyclone and the selling dealer. They are definitely making a serious effort to make us happy.
Scott,
I just noticed there is a 3/4 inch wide gap between two of the roof panels on my 3210. I guess I hadn't noticed it earlier because the rubber roof was stretched tightly enough that it covered the gap. The rubber roof has now started to sag approximately 1/2 inch deep into the gap, so...
Don,
Check-out my post "Bedroom Slide Roller Bracket Came Loose" in this forum. It contains some details on what I and others have done to fix this problem. Is one corner of your slide dropped down -- allowing that corner to drag on the rubber seal retainer strip and making lots of racket...
The roof on my 08 3210 is pretty tight. There is some very minor bubbling where it wraps around the sides, but not much. Overall, it's one of the best looking rubber roofs I've ever seen.
Donabel -- On my 3210, the slide mechanism is accessable by removing the plywood top on the bed...
Loco,
Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely lube mine real soon. I've been concerned about how slowly mine moves -- especially since Heartland forgot to cut the access hole for my emergency crank on my 08.
Not to vent -- but -- I just don't see how that keeps getting missed at the factory...
Thanks for the info. I don't particularily mind the slow speed -- just wanted some reassurance the it's "normal".
I'll definitely replace all of the accessable hardware with nylock nuts.
Jett
... and I want to third it. I've had some problems with my 3210, which I have been pretty vocal about on this site. But, overall, I'm very happy with my Cyclone.
Fishn2dmax,
I assume the u-shaped dinette in the Sundance 3012E is the same as the one in my Cyclone 3210. We love the u-shaped booth dinette -- it's one of the features we like best about the Cyclone, but in my opinioin, the table is a real pain. It's big, awkward and heavy. After a few...
Liz,
Glad to help. Although I've towed other heavy 5th wheels with an older Dodge 2500 that I had, I was still concerned about my new 2500's ability to tow and stop the 3210 adequately. I haven't towed it in any significant hills yet, but I'm comfortable now that it is OK. I'll probably...
