    Fridge on the road

Used to travel with propane on, but not now. Had a blow out last week on the left side rear. It took out the slide out wire flex guard, knocked all the wiring loose, didn't break any wiring, lucked out on that. Had it been on the right side it would taken out the rubber hose for the kitchen...

Won't be using the tires for awhile

Being prone to fire, I myself would maintain the proper tire pressure at all times. It would save a lot of time, if you should have to move out in a hurry.

    Docking station pass through

I used the insulating foam that comes in a can. You can find some at just about any store that has building supplies. Does a good job of keeping water out. Mice and other things to.

Feeling abused at the pump? Some startling facts ...

CA. San Bernardino-Redlands area was running $4.59 for diesel today. I'm a little puzzled, I was on I-10, keeping it about 60mph and was being passed by everything (small and large) like I was standing still. Packer

    Another New BH 3055 Owner

    3. While using the black tank flush (I love that feature!) discovered that the vacuum breaker valve was not closing and sent water into the coach drenching the kitchen floor and steps. In figuring this out I discovered that this device is located between the power closet wall and the bathroom...

    Diesel Prices

I’m going to jump in here, and then I’ll go back to my little corner and keep my mouth shut. When we as consumers at the bottom of the pile, who can not pass our costs on to someone else, or expect an increase in income to make up the difference, it’s a bitter pill to have to take, when you can...

    kitchen counter extension 3055 RL

Yep, ours broke off on a long trip last year. I plan to put it back on, or replace it with something a little lighter. There is a mod. at rvpics., for a rail and it shows how the ext. is attached. I think I will try something like that...

    Slide Manifold

Donna Doesn't look like anyone has done this yet. I'm sure it can be done, just don't know what the cost would be. I have been thinking about doing it to our unit also. Will get to the dealer or a repair shop some day and find out. Good luck, please post if you find any information. Packer

    RV Awning Clamp

A clamp to keep it from unfurling while traveling or strong winds. CW has one on the internet, states it's easy to install. I don't want to be drilling a lot of holes on the side of the trailer. Has anybody put one of these on? How is it attached? Thanks for the information. Packer

Poll: Overall Happiness/General Satisfaction with your Heartland Trailer

    Discussion: SoCal 2008 Spring Rally

"Hi sdgirl" If you have work done on your black or gray tanks at Richardson's, they have to be emptied and cleaned out before they will work on them, and if they do it it's a hefty charge for cleaning. I think Richardson's at Sun City has a dump station. Call them make sure. PS: We love our...

    Slide Leak

Jonesj2- We have leak in our bedroom slide out, shower side of the bed. Took it to the dealer and they fixed some of it. Most of the time it leaks when the wind is hitting that side of the unit. It's a part time leak, that may never be found, leaks open or closed. Not much help to you, but...

    First service questions

Hi cwrigg Good luck on your warranty service. Be real tactful with your guidance on solutions, you don't want to butt heads or step on toes. (You may know more than the job foreman, but become an actor and don't show it.) Depending on the dealers work load, the unit could be in the shop for...

    You Gotta Love California

"Hi" Denniz Yes it's true about the endorsement on the class C. I went to the local DMV about two months ago, and they didn't know what I was talking about. To make a long story short, it took three trips to DMV, and one trip to the HWY patrol, and a whole lot of frustration to be legal. But...

Hi Duke. I agree with Forrest. We have three slides with the Big Country and when locked inplace they don't wobble or move. Some dealers know the product they are selling, and some just don't have a clue. Dealer can always hook up the battery and do a demo for you. Packer
