    Anyone weighed a Cylcone 3210?

Pulling on the flat, even with ambient temperature of close to 100, i never see tranny temps higher than about 200. The only time I got a little concerned was pulling the grade going north out of Lewiston, Idaho. Air temp was 100 plus, and the grade is steep and long. I saw about 230 on the...

Electric Jacks will not operate landing gear

Landing Jack Problems I had the problem with the bolt that fixes the cross shaft to the landing jack motor. The nut had backed off of the bolt far enough that the nut and bolt head were hitting the motor each revolution of the cross shaft. What I found was that a nyloc type nut had been used...

    3210 furnace ducts

3210 Furnace Problems I didn't have any blockage in any of the ducts that I could see. The problem I found was that most of the hot air the furnace was putting out was leaking out of the ducts and going into the space beneath the floor. Some of the leaks were the result of splits in the seams...

    Anyone weighed a Cylcone 3210?

Cyclone 3210 Weight I have towed my 3210 about 6000 miles. I have a 03 Duramax/Allison, and it pulls the fully loaded Cyclone fine. When we left on vacation last year, I took the fully loaded rig to the scales. The loaded trailer was close to 15,000 lbs. The combination was about 200 lbs...

    3210 furnace ducts

RIOF16, I would not accept delivery of the trailer without a thorough inspection of the heating system. Remove the return air register (beneath the fridge) and inspect the furnace plenum box, making sure that all of the round metal plugs used to block off the side air ports on the plenum are in...

    B&W Hitch

I too have the B&W turnover ball and 5th wheel companion hitch, and have used it for over a year to tow my 3210 Cyclone. I agree with all of the above comments. It is convenient, easy to remove, giving you a completely flat floor in the truck bed. I haven't had any problems with the threads...

    3210 furnace ducts

I also had a problem with the delivery of hot air through the various registers. Examining the heating system found several problems. First problem was that the hole cut in the floor beneath the furnace was in the wrong place. it did not match the hot air discharge from the furnace by about...

    3210 fresh tank capacity

I purchased a Cyclone 3210 a little over a year ago. At the time, based on Heartland's literature, the dealer's salesman, and the weight sticker in the trailer, I assumed the trailer had a freshwater capacity of 110 gallons. The filled the water tank and took the trailer out. two days into...

    Anyone weighed a Cylcone 3210?

I have a Cyclone 3210 that I purchased a little over a year ago. Took it straight from the dealer to the scales. As delivered it had a pin weight of 2740 lbs, about 600 lbs over what the literature says. The empty trailer weighed 12,300, about 2,400 lbs more that Heartland advertises.

Continuing 3055 fresh water tank problem

For a description of what might be a cause of your problem, go the the Cyclone section and look at the Cyclone -Plumbing thread. See last post by Dirt1st. I had similar problems with my Cyclone 3210.

    fresh water tank venting

In my opinion, the fresh water tank installations in the Heartland trailers are problematic. I have a Cyclone 3210 that I purchased in March of this year. I more often than not dry camp for a week or more at a time. I was looking forward to being able to have 110 gallons of fresh water, per...

    DVD Troubles - Help....

I had the same difficulty with getting my TV to receive a signal through the antenna. As suggested above, download the manual. I still was not getting a signal, so I took my cell phonoe, sat down in the trailer in front of the TV and called Olivea (spelling?) helpline, and a tech support...

    Garage screen door

I have a Cyclone 3210 with the optional garage screen door, however, the screen will not stay down. I can find no latching or fastening device to hold the screen down. Am I missing something? Several other Cyclone owners report the same problem - see the "Garage" thread.

    Retractable Screen

I too have a 3210 with the same problem, the rear screen will not stay down, and I didn't see anything that looks like latches or locks to hold the screen in the down position. Is ther anyone from the factory that can oprovide some insight?

    Prospective owner question

Part of the weight of the trailer is carried by the pickup (the pin weight). Using the numbers you provided, 18,000 lbs gross vehicle weight for the trailer, and 5,200 lbs per axle, that means that the pin or hitch weight would be at least 2,400 lbs to keep from overloading the axles. The...

Refrigerator On or Off While Traveling!!

I always travel with my fridge on propane. I will turn it off before fueling at a busy gas station if I am at gasoline pumps. Only one of my two previous campers had a 3-way fridge. When on 12 volts, they pull a lot of current, I don't remember the amperage, but is is significant, and the...

    Fresh Water Tankage

Scott, you are correct to some extent, I neglected to mention that the tank is supported at both the front and back by angle iron welded to the frame rails. The difference between "oriented strand" board and "particle" board is lost on me. I assume, based on your reaction that oriented strand...

    Fresh Water Tank

I have seen much talk about water "siphoning" out of water tanks when the trailer is moving. Unless there is a hose on the inside of the water tank that is connected to the vent hose, siphoning cannot happen. A siphon requires both ends of the "siphon" to be below water level. Unless there...

    Fresh Water Tankage

Fresh Water Tank Volume The mystery (at least partof it) about the limited amount of water I was able to put in my Cyclone 3210 is solved. I asked the dealer to give me a call when the pulled the under covering of of my trailer so that I could see what it looked like. As discussed above, the...

    Fresh Water Tankage

This is a real issue for me. That was why I repeated asked the salesman, and called the factory to confirm what the salesman told me, and relied on what the weight sticker stated. I sold a Weekend Warrior that carried 110 gallons of water, and if I had known that the Cyclone 3210 would not...

    Fresh Water Tankage

I have a 3210 Cyclone, Serial No. 6066, build date of about 6 September 06, I believe, and purchase date of 16 March 07. Had my first outing last weekend, and was able to get only about 50 gallons into the fresh water tank(s) before having water come out of the two vent hoses beneath the...

    Latches for Dinette Drawers

Dinette drawer fastener I had the same problem, and solved it by getting some wide velco tape, the sew on kind, not the sticky back stuff. I stapled a two or 3 inch long piece of the "soft, fuzzy" side to the top of the drawer under the cushion. I then stapled a piece of the "hook" side...

    New Cyclone 3210

I don't have the weight sticker in front of me, I can check the language tomorrow. Slides are part of the trailer, the generator is considered an option, but that should only add 400 lbs or so to the weight. All of the other options - 12 gal water heater vs 10, DVD player, etc can't possibly...

What is the Landmarks travel weight? (before stuff)

Check out the thread in the Cyclone section. I picked up a new Cyclone 3210 about a week ago and went straight to the scales. Hearland's website and literature said the pin weight was 2,130 lbs, mine scaled at 2,740 lbs. Sticker in the trailer says it weighs 10,940 lbs, scales say it weighs...

    New Cyclone 3210

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to this thread. My beginning was not very auspicious - picked up my 3210 Cyclone on Friday, March 16, and headed for home, about 16 miles from the dealer. Just before I got home, I got a shorted brake signal from my brake controller. At home I crawled...

Diesel 4 Wheel Drive or not

I too would not be without 4 wheel drive. I have a 2003 Silvarado HD, Duramax, and use my 4 wheel drive several time a year. Sometimes it makes maneuvering a trailer easier, especially if you have to put one side of your trailer up on blocks. I just put it in 4 wheel low and the rig will idle...

    Cyclone Construction Details

Scott, or anyone else at Heartland RVs - I have been looking through the Heartland website, and looked at the construction details shown for the Landmark and Bighorn 5ers. There was no detail provided for the Cyclones. Are the construction techniques for the Cyclone line similar to either the...

    1. Converter location 2. Fresh water tank fix

I agree with the comments about the manual drain valve. The Weekend Warrior I am repacing with a Cyclone 3210 had a 2 inch diameter manual gate valve on the 2 inch diameter pipe that connected the two water tanks. Open the valve, and it would dump the tanks at a rate of about 15 to 20 gallons...

    Gas Station Capacity

I have just purchased a 2007 Cyclone 3210. I have not been able to find any informaion in Heartland's literature, on their website, or in the manuals that shows how much gas the gas station holds, and the salesman at the dealer I talked to said he wasn't sure, but he had heard about 27 gallons...

    New Cyclone 3210

Just signed a buyers order for a 2007 Cyclone 3210, and should be able to claim it from the dealer next Thursday or Friday, March 15 or 16. My wife and I are pretty excited. We are moving up from a 2004 Weekend Warrior FBD 2600, and are looking forward to having some additional living space...
