    Fuel Filling Painfully slow?

Ok, so I am a bit late in updating this. The dealer took care of it. They said that the vent hose was a coil, and filled with gasoline. "Yep, there's yer problem right thar!" :) They shortened it up, and I have had no problems since.

    Axles on 4012

Hmm, I wonder if that extra 45g grey tank (and the axles for that matter) could be upgraded on my 4012 (bought in March). The extra tank capacity would be nice, and the extra axles would make me feel better. :)

    Explaination of valves

Funny, I had exactly the same question. I figured out as much as that it was a powerdump, but not what each valve actually does. A sticker would be invaluable here.

    Fuel filling painfully slow?

Follow-Up: So, after having the dealer take care of this (under-warranty), it DID in fact resolve the issue. Now I can fill at a reasonable rate (first click on the pump) until almost full, then nurse it in towards the end, just like a regular tank. Deepsky, I didn't actually see it all...

    Fuel filling painfully slow?

What I got from Scott's post is that it is a known possible issue, and to have the dealer handle it. For the moment, that is good enough for me, since I have it going in for other stuff anyway.

    Fuel Filling Painfully slow?

Scott, Thanks for the quick turnaround. I will have the dealer address when I have it in again. I have it going in for some damage repair in the next week or so (as soon as y'all turn around the parts).

    Manuals for Cyclone

Scott, Forgive me for stating what I think is the obvious, but wouldn't it be cheaper for you, and easier for me, to have this available in a downloadable PDF? I mean sure, make it available if people want a hardcopy sent to them (in case they live under a rock). But if you had provided a...

    Fuel Filling Painfully slow?

I asked the following question in the 'Fuel System' forum first, to see if any other owners had any advice (before posting here). The responses I got indicated that I was not alone, but no solutions. I also did some searching of the forums, but didn't turn up anything that seemed related, so...

    4012 Due in July 20th, 2007

Jim, Thanks for the info. Fortunately, getting into cabling, 12v, and signal distribution is a little more in my area than some of these other systems, so I have no doubt I can figure out (and fix) that one. I have my own gear for (re)terminating Coax (and Twisted Pair, and Fiber). On...

    Fuel filling painfully slow?

That's a thought. I suppose the funnel would allow the sudsiness to go down a bit, and guarantee the air has an escape path.

    Fuel filling painfully slow?

Yep, that is exactly my experience. It's obviously a question of the air needing a way to escape, and the fact that there doesn't seem to be any length in the filler neck. I'm just hoping someone has already figured this out and found a better way.

    4012 Due in July 20th, 2007

FWIW, I tow my 4012 with a 2005 F350 SRW LB. Fully loaded with my 2 Honda Rincon 680's, and full water, it handles pretty well. Seems to handle even better when I get to the campsite and have no water left. :) But that's a separate thread... When I replace this truck in a few years, I have...

    Fuel filling painfully slow?

I have noticed that trying to fill the fuel tank on my Cyclone 4012 is a painfully slow operation. It seems to take ~2 mins/gallon to nurse it in there, or else it spurts out at me, even on the lowest squeeze of the pump. Note that I am not even trying to set the gas pump on a notch, just that...
