I was pretty disappointed when I took my 321 back to the dealer for this issue and was told it was just a poor design and get use to it. We already have carpet back there and it definitely helps but I'll try flipping the patio door and see how that goes. Thanks for the idea.
We camp with a couple that has a Fuzion 399 and they've had their CO detector go off almost every night that they've run their Onan 5500. I'm not sure if the exhaust isn't properly routed or what but I wouldn't want to chance it.
Quick side question: Our CO detector is mounted on the ceiling...
Our Torque has the same set up and we took it back to the dealer for that issue. They said that was the last vent on the run from the furnace and it was normal for it to be colder than the rest. They suggested just leaving the door open but when we have guests staying in the garage, it would be...
Our 321 has an open self in the garage as well and it is really annoying finding stuff all over the floor when we arrive. I was going to make something out of those stretchy cargo nets that go over the box of your truck. If anyone has found something that works, post some pictures!
Like Bill said, your problem is likely high resistance in the circuit either caused by a loose connection, pinched wire or corrosion.
H3's are a signal wire bulb that uses the body of the bulb as a ground against the fixture. They commonly get corrosion on the fixture itself were your battery...
When we picked up our unit, we drove it straight home and went through it to become familiar with everything. Since I trust no one, I decided to check tire pressures and wheel torque. Tires were at 45 PSI and wheels weren't evenly torqued to spec. I called the dealership and let them know how...
I've read a lot about Tow Max tire failures on the forum but I was wondering if any members from Canada have had any issues? It seems like the much higher ambient and road surface temperature south of the border would be a huge factor in tire failures OR maybe I'm just trying to talk myself into...
We shopped every option available within our tow limits when we were looking for our 5er. We toured numerous RW, Cyclones and Torques. Ultimately, it can down to being able to justify the additional $25,000 from a Torque to the Cyclone. We ended up getting the Torque 321.
We only looked at...
Just curious what makes the Companion so good? We have a Reese Pro 20K that we got for $700 installed at the dealer when we bought our 5er and have no complaints with it.
Re: Fridge will not run on propane while Traveling Down the Road
I've had that happen a couple of times while driving in a strong crosswind. I suspect there's too much wind turbulence to light the propane.
We just winterized our 321 and it seemed to take a lot less anti-freeze than I expected. How much does it normally take?
We used a gallon and a half to get all the taps to run red then we dumped the other half gallon down the drains to clear water from the p-traps. Does that seem right?
It may also be possible that the tank isn't actually 3/4 full. Our Torque has shown 2/3 full since the first time we used it and its been emptied a dozen times since.
Well the summer is unfortunately coming to an end up here in the north and it's time to start thinking about winterizing our unit. I'm looking for ideas on covering up our 5'er since it will be parked outside over the winter. Has anyone used a fabric rv cover or some other type and has any...
I was thinking about trying to rig up a 6 point system as well and thought about taking 4 scissor jacks and placing them between the top of the axles and the frame. This is the same part of the frame that normally supports all the weight off the trailer anyhow so I cant see any harm in taking...
Thanks for the confirmation Randy. I've already installed a starting battery with an isolator on the gen and the inverter has a low voltage shut-off also. We'll give it a shot and see what happens. Here's to hoping for no smoke lol
We just purchased our crew cab 3500 6 months ago and went through the same dilemma. We have 2 medium sized dogs and they have ample room to wander around with the seats flipped up. With the 60/40 split seats, we can drop the 60 seat and fit 2 kids and still have room for the dogs with the 40 up...
Our outside speakers are controlled by the fade between front and rear. Front being outdoor and rear being indoor. Your system may be different but just an idea.
That would involve spending another $200-$300 which seems pointless since we already have a TV for the unit. Maybe I'll just run the gen and let the neighbors suffer. Or, a more likely circumstance, is that I'll plug it in and see what happens lol. Thanks for the idea though.
Due to some bad weather this weekend, I'm looking to throw a TV in the bedroom to keep us entertained but I don't want to rum the gen constantly. Also, we hardly ever have a use for A/C power so I don't want to go through the hassle of permanently wiring in an inverter on such short notice. I'm...
We used to empty our tank after every trip just because I was paranoid that bacteria would grow in the water if it sat. After talking to fellow RV'ers that don't empty theirs often, I just top up before every trip. Saves time on Friday afternoon when all I want to do is hook up and go. We don't...
We use the garage for toys mostly and for our dogs when we are out riding. Guests that have stayed there say it was heated/cooled ok. We found the garage floor almost unbearable to walk on in bare feet so we had a piece of carpet cut 8x12 that we roll out once we unload our RZR. We throw it up...
We've had ours for one season now and love it. We haven't had any issues (knock on wood) and we love the amount of counter space and storage it has. There are a few things that we feel aren't that well thought out like no doors or netting on the shelf in the garage. Or the lack of cabinet doors...
We had a Sportsman 500 and Sportsman 800 in the garage of our Torque but since they had bigger tires, they wouldn't clear the bed tracks. we had to load them in a "T" formation to get them to fit.
