All 3 of our units are the "smaller" looking units just like what is pictured to the right of your photo. They are for certain all 15k with no heat pumps. I'm guessing that if you have 2 heat pumps the "smaller" unit is the non heat pump 15k unit.

Does the unit in the left of your picture have a heat pump by chance? All 3 of our units are 15k and look like the unit to the right in your picture.

Our Newport weighed in at 17,940lbs on the scales with a pin weight of 3720lbs. We are full time, and we also have Mor/Ryde IS installed. No generator at this time either.

We had the exact same thing happen with our special ordered Landmark Newport. We had even had Mor/Ryde IS installed on the coach before coming to our dealer. There was no way to rectify the situation other than starting over and ordering another new unit. Took another 10 weeks for second order...

How difficult was it to pull the fridge out in one of these units? I've always wondered since you have that 3-4" lip of wood facia to deal with getting over pulling it out and putting it back.

Agree with the horrendousness of those steps. There has got to be a better design that someone could come up with than huge steps folded up against the wall of your shiny new sleek 5th wheel.

Or make the dinette slide go all the way to the steps going up to the family room and put a door in the slide out just like Peterson has in their Excel front bath model. That would make a much larger feel when walking into the door.

Here is a picture of my letter. Yours may not fall into the 11/3/14 through 2/28/15 build period, but if not, you should still contact Heartland to let them know that steps outside of their time period are also failing.

Ours weighed in at 15,011 from factory with no generator. This was before Mor/Ryde IS was installed also. Figure that added at least 500 lbs. I got a recall letter a while back about the pins on the steps failing. Hadn't had anything done about it yet though.

We are right at 17,940lbs total trailer weight living full time, BUT that is with empty tanks and NO firewood as you described yours.

I understand why the closet is where it is in this rendition, but it's sad to see no large rear window. The rear of a 5th wheel is typically your view even if it is the bedroom. I think it would be better to have the wardrobe in a slide out at the foot of the bed.

We are lucky enough that we live in the Knoxville area and were able to order our 365 Newport from Rvs4Less. Cannot say enough good things about everyone at Rvs4Less. I would doubt that you would be able to find a lower price anywhere else also.

Keep in mind Duane that we have Mor/Ryde IS installed which added a significant amount of weight to the coach. Without the IS, there could be extra GVWR leftover for water.

We are full time in our Newport and pull it with a Ford F-350 DRW. We took the rig across the CAT scales on our last trip. The trailer, with all tanks empty, came in at 17,940 pounds, and the pin weight was at 3,720 pounds. The truck weighed in at 9,300 pounds full of fuel. GCWR = 27,240 pounds.

I use Opti-Lube XPD with every fill up. I can tell that I get longer time between regens when adding it. Adds lubricity to the fuel also.
