DETERMINED: 2014 3260EL Bighorn - Melted plastic cover in basement

Re: 2014 3260EL Bighorn - Melted plastic cover in basement WE HAVE AN ANSWER! Upon further investigation, we noticed this cover, covered the bathroom hot, cold and drain pipes. Someone (I'm not going to mention who) stores cleaning chemicals in the cabinet under the sink, and some of the lids...

Re: 2014 3260EL Bighorn - Melted plastic cover in basement Thanks for the feedback. I would agree with you with respect to chemical, however we use zero chemicals in our water / drain system. Anything we would use is natural and non-toxic.

Re: 2014 3260EL Bighorn - Melted plastic cover in basement Thanks, I'll check that out. I would imagine there would be a lot of water spilled as a result of that being true, yes? Hooked up city water and ran for a while and no leaks (so far, keeping fingers crossed). Could the heat spread...

DETERMINED: 2014 3260EL Bighorn - Melted plastic cover in basement

Re: 2014 3260EL Bighorn - Melted plastic cover in basement Here's the rub; I didn't put anything in that had any heat source with it. We have a gas campfire, but it is 3 feet away from this, and I never put anything remotely hot inside the basement. It's just weird!

DETERMINED: 2014 3260EL Bighorn - Melted plastic cover in basement

Hello to All, I went to clean out the basement in our 2014 Bighorn 3260EL, getting it ready for a soon to be road trip... I noticed something really weird. The plastic shroud which covers the hot, cold and waste drain for our bathroom sink had a huge hole caused by melting (please see pics)...

Live in OR - Must I register RV in CA?

Thanks for the help. The previous owners were Canadian (2/3rds of the owners in this resort are Canadians). They registered the rig in California since it was bought there and resides there. As an Oregon resident, figured we'd try to get away with Oregon registration since our home is here and...

Live in OR - Must I register RV in CA?

Hello to all! My wife and I live in Oregon and have owned a 38' 3260 EL Bighorn 5th wheel for many years. It is registered here in Oregon. We recently went to a RV Resort in Palm Springs, CA (Outdoor Resorts Palm Springs) and purchased a RV lot with a 40' DRV Elite Suites on the property. We...

Front hydraulic jacks keep dropping after auto-level

Thanks! Could that valve have jarred open a little? If so, can I use an allen wrench to tighten it? What's weird is both front jacks are dropping down. Is that usual when you have a leak or the valve is open?

Front hydraulic jacks keep dropping after auto-level

Have 2014 Bighorn 3260EL with Lippert auto-leveler jacks. We store 5th wheel on our driveway at home. Twice now we have used the auto-level to level our 5th wheel and about 2 weeks later we notice the front of the rv is all the way down to the base of the jack foot (see picture). Is this...

Lippert Auto Level Level up display problem

Have 2014 Bighorn 3260EL. My display is virtually unreadable on my Lippert Level Up control panel (see attached photo). I have asked a repair shop and they suggested I unplug it and let ambient energy dissipate then plug back in and that should fix the problem. I would like to try that but in...

2014 Bighorn 3260EL roof falling apart - is there recourse?

We live in Oregon and have rarely taken our 5th wheel to hot climates. Never for any extended periods of time. We store our rig next to our house. It's not covered, but don't really need to here in Tigard Oregon. We have had to have many roof features (around vents, air conditioner, TV Antenna...

Thanks, I'll check it out. More importantly, could a screwed up regulator be causing the problem? We do get stove and water heater gas. Greg[ QUOTE=Oregon_Camper;562227]I'm drawing a huge blank right now if our built in gauge has a green indicator. I think it is only red. I gave up on those...

One other thing. When the furnace quit working, I was out early fishing. When wife got up she noticed furnace had shut off and it was freezing. Thanks for the feedback! Batteries are back up. Good to know about the furnace access. We have a 2014' so hopefully can access there. Sure can't access anywhere else <sigh>. Thanks, I'll go ahead and put the wall back up. I DID learn a lot about our RV. I haven't called Matt yet only because I figured I'd wait until our Rally trip. That should be close to our last trip of the season for us (other than maybe going to a Beaver game in Corvallis), then I could just...

Unplugged everything; nothing works. Plugged shore power in; everything works. My voltmeter used the same as your photo shows, so should be ok there. Not sure why it showed zero though. I did test each battery, and they each read 13.13. Does that help? With that said, can we safely rule out the...

Before I do that Jim, when I unplug shore power (running purely on DC now, yes?), I have interior lights and the slideout (living room and bedroom) both work using our remote. RECAP 2;18 pm: -- The batteries appear to check out (between 70% to 80% good). -- Thermostat appears to be working (fan and air works using it, and the 2 wires behind thermostat appear connected to unit). -- All the blade fuses inside the fuse panel in the RV fuse panel all have been tested...

UPDATE 1:15 PM: Disconnected shore and DC power. Took thermostat off (2 screws). There are only two thin wires going in and they look hard wired into the thermostat. With that said, the air and fan seem to be working correctly via thermoshat, so is it safe to "assume" the thermostat is good? Greg
