I have the extra battery box. The floor is precut for Onan generator. I will need to look behind basement wall for transfer switch. I do not know if a metal shroud is supposed to be around generator for noise? I do not have that if its needed.

Has any body used a whole house surge protector? It is less money, has to hard wired, 30% higher joules rating, triple the voltage surge of a standard progressive adapter.

What should I expect with a used Big Horn upon picking up from dealer? I want to check for problems, but how extensive should I go through the list?

Just purchased 08 big Horn. Tom Raper in Oh. is fixing up minor problems. Will pick up on MLK holiday. This is our third RV and the largest one to date. I have gleaned over the forums, what a treasure trove of information. Cannot wait till warm weather. Rob
