thanks for the reply. I have above bed rails so I can't run a companion hitch only the patriot hitch. I think I have decided to go with a fixed hitch like the reese titan. use the airborne sidewinder pin box so no sliding needed with a short bed and can still hook up at a 90 degree angle.
I have a husky sliding hitch 16k and I hate it. It jerks slams back and forth at stop and goes.
So the blue ox super ride 5th wheel anyone try it? I am also looking at the reese titan or b&w any opinions.
I have a 2005 F250 crew cab short bed tow a 3010 cyclone 2012.
I have eliminated the pig tail going to the truck from the J box at the pin. It test fine. I used my 12 volt power jump start caddy to test lights from J box to back of trailer. Driver side wire is black with red strip and passenger side is black. They are linked together at J box not fused just...
We tested both my truck and a friends and both were the same. The brake lights work fine and the running lights. The truck signals only flash the side it supposed to.
My truck has had a different trailer on it before this one and everything always worked.
I disconnected wire at junction box at pin and at drivers side rear light and then checked ohms at junction box between right and left blinker wires and a had full ohms. So if I am thinking right it sounds like the right and left blinker wires have fused at some point in the harness or a screw...
I checked wires in box everthing connected right so I disconected yellow wire and the turn signal left or right still made both lights flash. I am guessing wires are melted together in frame somewhere. Any comments are welcome.
