New roof needed even before we take possession of Heartland Cyclone 4000

There are certain situations in which a contract may be cancelled. That's why I suggested calling the loan company and explaining the situation. The dealer will certainly say that there is no recourse.

New roof needed even before we take possession of Heartland Cyclone 4000

As long as you didn't take the rig off the lot you should have 3 days to back out of the contract. Call your loan company and speak to them directly and asap about your situation.

Bed storage area - gas struts locked in up position??

It's time to replace them. Many local rv parts stores around here have them in stock, can't say about your area. Take one to them and they'll match up a pair for you.

    ATF: Landmark - fender brace

This is also a bad time to have one built. After seeing all the units after the Tampa show (6 yrs ago) that had rust all over them, we decided to wait until July to order. This wasn't only Heartland units. The frames are transported in the weather, very possibly thru salt-covered roads this...

rv shower sunlight replacement or fix - help or advice

Your skylight sounds exactly like ours after two yrs of use. I caulked the skylight while waiting for the new one, sure wasn't pretty but it worked. The procedure you have written is correct, but you may as well take a bucket with you to remove the skylight because it will probably come apart in...

ATF: Landmark - Roof Vent Question.

We have an '09 Pinehurst which we ordered July '08. There is a 5.5" vent cap that needs replaced. My question is: What is a 5.5" vent on the roof for? Do you sell the caps for the vent? Can't find one anywhere.

    Protection Under Tires

Ted, This is from an article I read about Goodyear's recommendations some time ago. Storing Tires On the Vehicle RV tires are mostly stored on the vehicle. For ideal storage, a vehicle should be placed on blocks so there is no weight on the tires. If this cannot be done, follow these tips...

New to Forum and Concerned with scratching countertops

Wow, thanks for that bit of info regarding the crock pot. Been using directly on the surface for almost 5 yrs but I'll bet after reading this the next time it will split (won't do it again to find out). The surface is really holding up well thus far though.

    Wider is better

Couldn't agree with you more. We were talking about the same thing last night. As far as it being legal in all states as mentioned above doesn't bother me. DRV's are all over the states;) This really would take it to the next level. Hopefully it wouldn't be accomplished by extending the...

Dan, I removed the shower access and only the cold/hot hoses are visible. The black flush hose is valved outside and is currently off. The leaking hose is constant.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned about the fans is that you will find that the ice no longer builds on the fins. You'll only need to defrost the freezer!

    Leaking hose under shower.

I just found water by the door and traced it to a red water line under the shower. Luckily I only had to remove the extinguisher panel to gain access. Interesting thing is that the shower hoses, one blue and one red, are not the problem. There's two more red lines running up beside the coat...

    Ford Expedition Towing

The setup you have is not good for long travels. Without the tow package you are lacking a transmission cooler, have a smaller radiator, and have 3.31 gears as opposed to 3.73. Not good at all for traveling around the country. I wouldn't sweat the short trips while you decide on another...

Slides in/slides out surviving the storm

Before you go off and tie down the unit you better make sure it is ok. Check first with your insurance carrier, bet they won't allow it. Pasco county won't allow rv tie down at all, I was told most counties are about the same concerning tie downs. People still do it though. We've weathered...

Heartland is curious. What do you think about this?

I want to buy a golf cart - recommendations

Replacement batteries will cost nearly the same for 6 6-volt batteries or 4 12-volt ones for a golf cart. It really depends on your usage, but if you get the 48 volt cart you won't be sorry! The price here in FL is nearly the same as well for the cart.
