I need a good, reputable suspension/spring shop near Houston

I've just recently noticed that my 2008 Cyclone 5th wheel is leaning toward the curbside. There is roughly a 2 inch drop on that side. I'm rarely comfortable going to Camping World Service, has anyone had a great experience with another trailer shop that maybe specializes in suspension near...

Shredded my underbelly cover.....on the interstate!

I'm looking for a good source for the "Coroplast" material that I shredded cruising down the highway. No warning...just started flying apart. Has anyone replaced their underbelly cover with a different material or possibly one that is a bit thicker than the 4mm stuff that was on there? CW...

Moving from 15" to 16" wheels

One of those horror stories may have been mine. I pull a 2008 3795 Cyclone and just recently purchased 6 new tires and wheels from trailertiresandwheels.com out of Ohio. I had been very frustrated with blowouts with around 5,000 miles on the original Marathons then Maxxis. Your rig should...

    Shower Skylight repair/replacement

I am wondering if it's worthwhile trying to seal or repair a cracked skylight over the shower or just replace the whole thing. I would try a silicone sealant but the cracks seem more numerous now. The Cyclone is a 2008. Also could use some help locating the correct part. Anyone else...

    Chris Kyle's funeral

mattpopp, I felt so moved just reading your warm, and well written account....I was practically there. I did not know Chris but had bought my grandson and myself his book shortly after it was out. I'm wishing more people were aware of some of these details........when does YOUR book come out...

Thank You Tredit Tire and Wheel

Bill, just an observance from your signature......what is a "D-Celerator exhaust brake"? Was it an after-market device or did it come with your Dodge? I'm looking for more brake on my 2008 GMC Duramax.....something better than the "tow/haul" button. Thanks, Steve

Will my axles handle a wheel upgrade?

Dave, I did say 85, meant 80. I have always monitored my psi carefully. I carry an HD Road King in the garage ~850#, and interestingly, altho it rides more toward the streetside of the garage, my blowout history is 2 on the right (curbside) and 3 on the left. Again, I am convinced that for...

Will my axles handle a wheel upgrade?

Sorry Dan, if I'm not clear. My rig has 6 lugs on the wheel and I'm trying to beef-up the wheels and tires to a higher load range. No, not all 110 psi wheels have 8 lugs. Direct quote from Trailer Tire and Wheels: "LT235/85R 16 Load Range G 14 Ply Rated Goodyear G614 RST Unisteel Radial...

Will my axles handle a wheel upgrade?

Bob, I've got a 2008 GMC 2500 2WD CC Single rear wheel and standard box. I'd like to hear that it weighs more! Got some specs? Steve

Will my axles handle a wheel upgrade?

I realize that even with the 16 inch wheels and G load range tires, that I cannot "extend" my carrying capacity, nor am I after that. My goal here is to carry the same load that I've been carrying over the last 6 years without the same level of anxiety. In response to axle separation, I...

Will my axles handle a wheel upgrade?

Thanks guys, for the quick responses. I did weigh my rig but it was at a Flying J about 3 years ago and it was only a total TV and trailer, fully loaded. It was 21,126#. I'm not sure what my truck weighs but I would guess at just under 6,000#, leaving just over 15,000# for the trailer. As...

Will my axles handle a wheel upgrade?

I am contemplating upgrading my tires and wheels on my 2008 Cyclone 3795 from stock ST225/75R/15 to LT235/85R/16, actually Goodyear G614. I put one on yesterday to judge the "fit" and just the rear wheel curbside (triple axle) comes close to the plastic fender, so I can make it work. My...

    Goodyear Tire Failure Club

I've been reading all these posts with much interest as my 2008 Cyclone tires have blown out with some consistency. I have been nearly OCD when it comes to tire pressures and vehicle speeds, etc and to date have blown 2 stock tires (Marathons and load range "D") and two Maxxi's with load range...

    Fueling Station

Same problem here. After hurricane Ike hit us last year I thought I would be so clever and fill our gas cans (for the home generator) from the Cyclone and not have to wait in the one hour gas lines. Well, I hadn't tried the pump before this and the switch inside worked fine, and the silver...

    Streetside propane problems

I am having problems getting any propane gas flow from the streetside tank in my 2008 Cyclone 3795. The curbside tank is fine, but when it runs out, that's it. I have to physically swap tanks. Camperland in Houston tried a different regulator adjacent to the streetside tank but it made no...

    Propane regulator issues

Don, it's a 3795. I looked at the 3210 and liked it but the wife thought it might be too small. I think it would have been fine, but I'm OK with this one. With your leak, did that side still operate? I'm wondering if there is a safety shutoff if the regulator is leaking?

    Propane regulator issues

You do have the red/green indicators to tell if gas is flowing from either side. I realized that I still had a full tank (streetside) when I lifted it down with the intention of refilling it. When I moved it to curbside, the GREEN showed and I was flowing again. Just wouldn't flow from...

    Propane regulator issues

Actually, switching the dial manually does nothing to permit gas flow from the second (streetside) tank. The only way to use the gas from the 2nd tank is to physically move it to the curbside position. Maybe just a bad regulator, as you say. Thanks, Steve

    Propane regulator issues

I am relatively new to 5th-wheelin' and during our maiden voyage we had some problems with the propane tanks regulator. It would not automatically switch tanks when the first tank emptied. Since then I have heard that there is no fix. Anyone familiar with this issue? We pull a 2008 Cyclone...
