Not sure if we can attend or not.
My neighbor (who I have camped with so I know what he likes) has stayed at that Ol Pembina several times and really liked it.

Actually after I invited you to the other site I noticed that you had already posted over there. lol
I didn't install a surge protector. Don't know if I need to I am hardly ever plugged in, especially now with the solar panel. There may physically be enough room behind there but you have to...
Nice to see another Albertan on the board, and a fellow North Trailer at that. Welcome.
I have spent just the one season with my solar panel. I have one 110 watt panel that is charging 2 - 6 volt batteries. It puts out a rated maximum of 6.7 amps but that would be in ideal conditions. The most...
I'm with Smokey Bare, the well nuts are all that is required and they don't need to be into a rafter. I was a little skeptical at first but they do a nice job.

You know this is a pet peeve of mine too! Guys like me that are vertically challenged as well as "horizontally" ;-) challenged can have a hard time with that window.
It is a well built trailer though and I would buy it again if I had to do over.
David
I have a 28BHS but yours may be in the same place.
My pump is under one side of the dinette. The wood was screwed down here when the trailer was new and had to be removed to gain access. It has the winterizing hose and valve attached ready to go.
The water heater bypass is under our back bed...
I think I only have a 30 gallon tank in the North Trail and we made it 10 days this summer without dumping the black and there is 2 adults and 3 kids. I do try to use the outhouse during the day. If in the total boonies then there isn't an outhouse I know.
You could consider carrying one of...
As reported by smday, in Alberta the scales do base whether you are legal or not by the tires on the axle. I don't agree with it because you will almost always exceed the GAWR for your truck never mind the GVWR. It is what it is in Alberta until they change it.
I believe some of the blame for...
We REALLY wanted to come but just too many things on the weekends now that the kids are back in school. Hopefully next year the date can be announced further in advance so we can make sure we are there.
David
Yeah I have seen the wooden ones as well and really I could have done the same thing but the metal actually weighs a lot less for the strength. This box is very light compared to making it from plywood with a frame underneath.
Thanks to all for the kind words.

I have a few "ripples" in my exterior too. I know where each one is and they are a normal thing as far as I am concerned. In fact, changes in temperature and humidity make them better / worse. I keep an eye on them just to make sure they don't develop into anything. They seem to be where a major...
I actually had this project completed just prior to the Labor Day weekend but didn't get around to taking any pictures. Did the final cleanup for the season and winterizing today and thought I better get some pictures before I head to the storage tomorrow.
We are typically dry camping most of...
The mount system that came with my panel consisted of a rubber well nut that basically swelled up once the bolt "drew" the nut upwards. I was worried about it at first and yes the 1/4" made me nervous. FYI there are no studs up there, only block foam and a couple of aluminum cross members...
We won't be able to make it that weekend. :(
I was really hoping it would be the weekend after but with the kids back in school there are weekend activities now. I unfortunately can't miss the one on the 19th.
Maybe next time.

Has anyone replaced the halftime oven for a regular gas oven / range?
We like to boondock and while the oven works great, it is only useful when we have power, and since we don't most of the time, it is a useless item in the trailer.
Just curious if anyone has exchanged it and what might be...
And 11,186 pounds = 5073 kilograms, not 7258 as stated on the sticker. Someone could make a serious error depending on which side of the sticker they used.
My sticker in my unit isn't right either. Seeing yours I am wondering if they actual employ engineers to review any of the numbers they...
I am pretty sure that the max ire pressure for your tires is 50 psi. My label is on the front left that has the tire info with loads and pressures. Yours should be there as well.

I think there is a dealer in Airdrie. Had a friend that was considering going down there but ended up buying from the "local dealer".
I have a few issues myself with the local dealer but I don't blame him for not servicing what they don't sell. They seem pretty busy most of the time and I...
Thanks
It has worked really good so far. First time out this year we went 4 nights with heavy furnace usage. Batteries stayed good the whole weekend.
I am impressed with it so far.
David
I have taken my trailer into some fairly uneven ground and my tire has never hit. I know it looks low but I would wait to see if you are going to have problems and then move. With the molded rear bumper there aren't a lot of other options.
David
I just had to replace all 4 tires on my 2009 North Trail 28BHS. All 4 had the sidewalls severely crack. The dealer is trying to get something back for me from Duro, but the trailer is past warranty so I hope to get something pro-rated. Told them I don't want any tires, they are garbage.
I went...
I think I probably have posted this the wrong area. Maybe a moderator can move it for me so I don't have to type it out again. Sorry.
Should be in North Trail, Modifications, Solar
Thanks
Edmonton
Over the weekend I installed the first stage of my solar power project for our trailer. I plan to add an inverter and possibly another panel if needed down the road. It was a lot of work to get it in properly but I think it turned out nice. And I get to say I did it myself which is always good...
I don't have my trailer to measure either but I have my TV stored in the basement for the winter.
My TV is 15 1/2" tall and I know it JUST fits on the shelf. In fact I have to tilt it to get it over the front lip of the shelf. Hope that helps. It is a 19" LCD.
A larger screen may fit but not...
Still waiting for our 28BHS to arrive...has not really been that long since we ordered it. But we're excited! Great ideas for storage, thanks! I have already picked up the 3M hooks. I have a question though, in the bunk area, are there reading lights? It's been a while since we saw the model and...
And this is why I feel very comfortable with our decision to buy a North Trail in the first place. I mean I had a concern, and got an answer from the product manager basically the same day. Where are you getting this kind of service nowadays never mind from an RV builder. Great work!
Can't wait...
Having read in the CampingJunkie's thread that she had a problem with the faucet not reaching one side of the sink, it got me thinking...
When we decided to purchase our 28BHS, we took pictures at the RV show of the trailer that was on display. Upon reading her comments we went back and checked...
Thanks guys for the information. I don't know why more people in Canada don't use a cover like this. The one fear I would have is the wind we get here in Alberta in winter but from your pictures it seems to fit fairly tight.
Someone told me once that it was bad for the trailers to be covered up...
When we ordered out new 28BHS last weekend, one of the questions we had for the factory rep was what happened to the TP holder as it wasn't in the trailer. He told us that it seemed that no matter where they attached it, it was never in the right spot and the customer(s) complained. They leave...
We just ordered our new 28BHS this past weekend. Won't be here for 6-8 weeks but living in the great white north we don't need it until May long weekend. The 3 month wait will be very long.........
CampingJunkie, what are you using for your tow vehicle? I have been researching the different WDH...
I wonder when these pictures were taken. We just put a deposit on a new 28BHS this past weekend and one of the things we specified was the under bed storage be the new style with two drawers and and the lift up bed. The model at the RV show had the same large drawer shown in these pictures but...
