    Water leak at bedroom slide.

I think the reply below sounds great. I should check it out. I am not that technical! :) My bedroom slide leaks in the same spot. Through theory, I figure it is kind short compared to the others and does not slope away from the camper enough. We try to make sure our camper, if it is out of...

Slide Leaking on my Sundance !!!

We just had the same problem on our Sundance. All the slides leaked and two out of three roof vents, but it was worst at the back of the living room slide. I saw the other leaks. Put fans on them and mopped up what I could. Just today (three days later), I noticed that there was water under the...

    Portable Waste Containers

Thanks for all the replies. I just purchased a 32 gal barker, 4 wheel. Little expensive, but I sure it will be worth it. With all the good reviews, I feel much better about this one. And I do have one of those macerator pumps. That thing is nice!

    Portable Waste Containers

I did a quick search and didn't find anything. Has anyone used these or have opinions about them? We will be staying couple of weeks in a campground that doesn't provide utitilies, but has a dump station. I know we will need to release some gray water and most likely black water during those...

How often should you replace your Rv tires?

Thanks to all for your comments!!!! Excellent advice. I really appreciate it. I was told by a tire dealer, what is actually on my trailer now is a good tire. (still china made... what does that say to me.) I will be looking for tires next summer. I will give it one more year (which will...

How often should you replace your Rv tires?

That is why I worry so. Its not the blown tire, but the damage it causes. A friend just had the same problem. Took out a bunch of stuff. What a pain. I might let them slide one more year, two at the most. Thanks.

How often should you replace your Rv tires?

I have read that replacing trailer tires is a matter of time, not mileage. It makes sense. Thanks for the input.

How often should you replace your Rv tires?

I was told by another RVer that you should replace your RV tires every couple of years. Any opinions and experiences on that? We're new to this and have had our RV 3 years now. I worry to death about a blow out. I realize it can happen, no matter how careful you are. We do check our...

Thanks for the info guys. I was thinking about an electric blanket for the bed, to take that chill off! Whew!!! Sometimes that thing is cold to climb into. :) I was going to put in a digital thermostat. I noticed this past November trip that the temp dropped pertty good before the heat kicked...

    heating Question

Guys, when you are traveling down the road and it's freaking cold, do you leave your heat on in the RV while you travel? We were coming home and stopped at the ole walmart stop-over and it was freaking cold. :) WHEW! It took a long time to warm up in there. And our bed was SO cold. LOL Thanks.

    Protective cover

I am a new RVer and when we purchased this spring, I bought a cover for storage. We purchased a Sundance 2900MK, 5th wheel. Is putting one of these covers on pretty easy? Any tips from experienced RVers? Besides building a pole barn! LOL

    New Sundance 2900MK in Virginia

Congrats! We got our 2900 from Chesapeake RV this past spring. Love it! We did have one mechanical malfunction and Chesapeake gave us great service. I think their customer service is great and the buying experience there was great. Good luck and have fun. :)

No Power to Extend/Retract Landing Gear

Thanks for the advice, Forrest. It would be nice just to push that button vs. stand on your head, changing that fuse (again). It was doing it right often. Now, it hasn't for some time. I better knock on some wood!

No Power to Extend/Retract Landing Gear

Hey, Boat to .... We live in virginia and too have an 09 2900MK. Love it. Our landing gear has blown it's in-line fuse many times. Wierd. We just need to get the wiring checked out. It's a pain. I keep a hand full of those fuses for back ups. p.s. We bought our RV from Chesapeake...

    Opinion on Sundance 5th wheel

I agree with a lot of the post above. We looked at a lot of 5vers and kept coming back to the sundance. You could find nicer, but not even close in price.

    Landing Gear Issue

We ended up taking it back to the dealer. It was a sheared pin that they couldn't have gotten too either. So, I didn't feel so bad (or ignorant!). :) They replaced the leg within the hour. Great service. Taught me a lesson though. At least that happened in the driveway. What if we had been...

    Landing Gear Issue

:) Man, one of my landing gear legs was not acting right. It did not move when the other moved. Then, We shook on it and it fell! Now, it not attached at all. Wow. I don't see how you can get to anything to see if a bolt came loose. I read a lot on pins and bolts coming loose on this forum...

2900MK - dumb question on draining the fresh water tank.

I found the fresh water drain. I must say, I must have been narrow minded, thinking that hose close to the hot water tank was the hot water tank drain. Right there was a little stickie - Fresh Water Drain.... :) Sometimes, we should just keep our mouths shut. LOL Thanks again.

2900MK - dumb question on draining the fresh water tank.

Okay guys, I read through the book and didn't see a lick on draining your fresh water tank. p.s. I am a newbie! First RV and love it! Wished I had discovered this world sooner (when gas was cheap!). There are 3 hoses hanging out the belly of the rig. One close to the hot water and I seem to...

    Holding Tank Sensor Display

Same here. I haven't had my 5th wheel very long at all and only had fresh water in the holding tank once. Now my sensors show it's full! I tried empting it. I don't know. Seems that the sensor can get a film on them from the water. The owners manual talks about this. I just need to take time...

    ? 4 2900MK Owners

Thanks for the info, guys. We did put a cold air intake on the 2500 HD and it did help a little on the mpg. Not sure it was worth the $$. :) I think we might just hold onto this one until we need to upgrade. Then I would consider a desiel.

    ? 4 2900MK Owners

Guys with the 2500 HDs, what kind of fuel milage are you getting towing the 2900MK. We have a 2900MK too (love it). We also have a 2500 HD, gas engine, 6 ltr. She pulls fine, not nice on the MPG! :) We were wondering if desiel would be worth it. (price per gallon vs. mpg). I know the desiel...

    Where to keep the garbage?

We have a 2900MK. I have a small trash can with a lid that catches. It doesn't get in the way. I sit it at the end of the kitchen counter during our stay. It rides between the dinette chairs and wall in the dinette slide during transit. Our RV has a stand alone dinette w/chairs, not a booth...

    Truck + 5th Wheel Length

I was told by the salesman (when we bought our trailer this year), that the model number (like mine is 2900 but almost 32 ft long by brochure), is the length behind the truck. Not the actual length of the trailer, nose to tail. So, I got the impression from the salesman that our trailer would be...

    China Bombs got us today

Both of my brothers work for a company (logging) where they haul very heavy equipment. My brother told me he blew out many tires, all good, name brand tires (goodyear, bf goodrich).
