    Best replacement tire?

Yay, the Michelins are installed!!! Made in the UK! No more China bombs other than the spare. Next to the thick walled Michelins, the Missions looked like cardboard cutouts.

Haha, they sure are mounted as intended. There are 4 vents on the roof, two of which are now equipped with a cyclone.

    Washer Hookup Odor

Here you go: Perhaps I'm wrong as to what the front vent is venting, but it sure is the stinkiest vent. I still don't know which tank the washer hookup is draining into. Basically the two cyclone vents are now on the two worst smelling vents and I still had no problem since. Temperatures have...

    Washer Hookup Odor

I just wanted to post a quick update on this issue. Changing the anti-siphon valve made no difference whatsoever. So I installed a Cyclone vent for the kitchen gray tank which also did not make much difference. But as I did this I noticed that the black water vent is actually at the front of...

    Best replacement tire?

I read a few threads about the Marathons on this forum with some people not being very happy with them. It appears they are just another set of China bombs with a brand name on it, so I do prefer the Michelin option.

    Best replacement tire?

I'm ready to pull the trigger on these new tires. The Goodyear 614 are certainly outside of my price range. I do not want to remove my shocks, so the 265 Michelin are a no-go. So I am considering the Michelin XPS RIB LT235/85R16, Load Rating E, Max Load 3042 pounds at 80psi. Is that sufficient...

I was in Surf City, north of Wilmington on 'Lanier's Campground'. Surf City is beautiful, great beach and very residential, no tourist chaos. It was probably my favorite place on this trip. The campground is pretty nice for being near a beach town, but the sites are a bit small and it's pricey.

The snow in TX in late March came a bit of a surprise. I don't have any immediate new plans yet, I'm back on my home campground in Scottsdale, AZ for a while. The next trip will be north to Wyoming and Montana, but probably not until next year.

    Best replacement tire?

Thanks for the reference, very interesting indeed! I think I need to come to this forum more often and read more of the discussions. I just looked under my trailer to see how this all looks and I noticed one shock lost the rubber mount and jumped from its lower connector. It sounds like the...

    Best replacement tire?

Thank you all for the responses! I had the trailer on the scale with all my stuff in it and it is at 13000 total, with 10400 pounds of that on the axles, so I should be good. SouthernNights, was there any modification required to overcome the clearance problem?

    Best replacement tire?

Hi, I had a china bomb go off on me on my trip back home from Toronto a month ago. For my next trip I would like to replace all tires with a quality brand. Is there a consensus here what brand and type of tire is the most reliable for the BC? Thanks, Matthias

    Washer Hookup Odor

I put a new anti-siphon filter and sealed the cabinet with foam rubber but it didn't seem to make much difference. I learned that the problem is worst if I do dishes, so I refrain from using the sink now during the heat of the day, trying to leave the hot stinky air in the pipes undisturbed. I...

    Washer Hookup Odor

I have all tank drains closed and I'm experimenting today with disconnecting from the sewer altogether, just to make sure. I did receive a call this morning and that anti-siphon valve was determined to be the only possible culprit, especially since it is not easy to see if it is broken or not...

    Washer Hookup Odor

Well, I'm no longer holding my breath regarding that callback. Good thing it's not an emergency. If anyone can shed some light on this, please do so. Btw. I don't know if the problem is related or not, but the AC vents in the bathroom and bedroom also emit the same smell on hot days. I thought...

    Washer Hookup Odor

Well, I called customer support earlier today and left a message and am awaiting a callback. I took the anti-siphon valve out and looked at it. It is obviously designed to suck in air if necessary but not let any out. I inspected the piping that goes from the hookup through the big storage...

    Washer Hookup Odor

Hi Bryan, so this cap is an anti-siphon vent? Is that a standard item I can get at a local home appliance store? If so, I see that I can get a replacement. Do you mean my BC model? I have a BC 3250TS, model year 2007. Matthias

    Washer Hookup Odor

Thanks for the responses. I think I found the culprit with your information. I had no idea there was supposed to be a roof vent. It appears to vent into my closet wall. Washer Hookup Odor

Hello everyone! I have a question as to the plumbing of the washer/dryer hookup of my BC 3250. I have very bad sewer/plumbing smell on hot days from that connector in the closet. I checked other threads on here and I did re-fill the trap with water, but it still stinks very bad. That is even...

    Slight propane smell

Finally here is an update for my fellow campers. Since I'm a good boy and listen to the professionals, I didn't use soap but the leak detector spray from camping world. Slight propane smell

Thanks for all the info. I haven't had time to check yet, I just turned the gas off for now yesterday to be on the safe side. Good morning! I noticed this morning I have a slight propane smell coming from the propane tank storage area when I open the storage door on my BC 3250. Is that normal? If not, how would you go about getting this checked? I'm a fulltimer and don't want to hook up the rig and head to a...

    Newbie winter fulltiming questions

Thanks Marv. I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing a product that is for hoses. I did find plenty of options online for piping heat tape. I guess I'll just cross my fingers that the rig won't burn up. ;)

    Newbie winter fulltiming questions

I have one more question about the heat tapes. It looks like they are for metal and plastic piping but not supposed to be used for flexible hoses. Can anyone point me to a product that is ok to use on a water hose?

    Newbie winter fulltiming questions

Thanks everyone for all the informative responses, they are really helpful. I've been wondering about heat tape and if they have those with a thermostat. I will be looking for that, so I don't have to worry about plugging it in when it's about to get really cold. I'm currently paying for my...

    Some boondocking advice needed

Thanks again for all the responses. Everything went well on the trip, the only issue we ran into was that the battery had died after the first night. I had to run the truck as generator for a bit but the battery didn't hold any charge so we had to go get a new one. Looks like a generator is...

Great advice, thanks. Since I don't have a generator yet and can't ran the AC on the trip, me and the gf are planning to go to the Mogollon Rim which is at about 7000 feet. I think remembering overhead clearance at all times is something I really need to constantly remind myself of.

    BlackwaterTank Flush

Interesting topic. Fascinating idea to forget shutting off the sani-flush with the valve closed. ;) If I understand correctly, the black tank is directly under the toilet with no plumbing trap? In the three weeks I've been living in my BC now, I dumped the tank about once every 6-7 days. I...
