I remember seeing some thread about issues with slide outs not retracting fully. Then wait a couple of seconds and you could pull the slide in the rest of the way.
Does anyone remember where these threads are?
I ordered mine. You get exactly what you want. I would suggest to try and get hold of the factory option list. Some dealers don't even know what is and is not available in a particular model. See if you can locate your area's factory rep. I was lucky and met mine at a RV show.
Once you know...
I have a 3210 and it tows just fine with my 2005 dodge LWB SRW. But I do have airbags. The 3210 is a triple axle though.
I also carry two bikes but it doesn't really feel any different whether they are in or not.
I have a 2009 3210.On the pass thru storage compartment doors there are brackets mounted on the door that hold one end of the gas shock that holds the door in the open position. There are two brackets on each door. One on the left, one on the right side.
To date I have had 3 of the brackets...
Dave,
Unfortunately you just probably got a bad switch. In the manufacturing process 1000's of switches are produced. To say that all of them are going to last a certain length of time would be difficult. Look at all the things that you buy. Some items last for ever, some not so long...
You might want to check out Cooper tires. I have Cooper Discoverer H/T's on my truck and like them very much. I have a little over 40k on them now and still have some more left to go. They have a very nice ride. They are also a bit cheaper than Michelin's.
I will probably replace them this...
Silverhawk,
You have many options being that you have a manual transmission and it is a 2006. You can go right to a Dodge dealer and get an exhaust brake which is made by Jacobs. You can also go straight to Jacobs and get the brake. http://jakebrake.com/
You could also use a...
I too have looked at exhaust brakes for my 2005 Dodge. I have seen several different explanations of why putting one on the early 48re transmissions is somewhat problematic.
Some say that the tranny needs upgrading. Yet I have talked to a dodge dealer and the trans from an 05 and an 06 are...
I lost mine too awhile back.
What I ended up doing to stop this was to run a bead of RTV on the outside of the antenna where the two pieces meet to hold it together and stop it from twisting off as you drive. So far this is working. It has been on now for over a year without coming off.
The...
Manke3010,
Thanks for the input. I have been talking with Dexter to determine which kit will fit. I need to go and take a couple more measurements on my trailer.
This sounds like a good improvement /modification to do.
Does anyone have any experience with the Dexter E-Z Flex suspension?
Did you install it yourself? Does it work well? Any pros/cons?
I am thinking about putting it on my 2009-3210
Here is another thing that I forgot. I have the wheel chocks staggered a bit so they handle bars don't end up next to each other when the bikes are loaded. They get pretty close when two bikes are in the trailer together.I have the traditional bat-wing style HD fairing on my bike and it is...
You can do it. I run two harleys in mine and yes it is a snug fit but do-able. I will admit the first couple of times you do it, it is nerve racking.
Just aim and go. Do not try and stop on the way up. Just go. My two bikes are lowered so I had a real concern about bottoming out when I went...
The Flush King valve works great. I was having problems with my tank sensors not working properly. A friend let me use his Flush King. Fixed the problem easily. Now I have my own.
Best price I found was online at Tweety's.
You can try the ExploreUSA RV in Sequin, Tx. I purchased my cyclone there and they were good people to deal with. They should be able to service any of the Heartland products.
I actually called Dicor several months ago and talked to them about the EDPM roofing.
They told me that I could wash the roof with a soap that has no oils or perfumes in it ( plain Dawn dishwashing soap) and that would work just fine.
And The EDPM rubber should last about 10 years. They said...
When using the hub grease fittings to grease the bearings you might want to try using a Pistol Grip style grease gun. The movement of the lever is much less than a conventional pump style grease gun therefore putting out a less amount of grease. This might help you from putting too much grease in...
I own a 2009 3210 and love it. The 8ft. ramp door will make a difference especially if you are loading motorcycles that have had the suspension lowered.
I think the triple axles are great. 3 x 6K = 18K or 2 x 7K =14K. You do the math on weight capacity. The triple axles also means an extra...
I own a 2009 3210 and I can say that I love this trailer. It tows straight as an arrow. No problem doing 65-70 on the highway. Stops good.
I might be biased but I would go with the 3210. Can never have enough capacity. Would rather have it and not need it.
My Own opinion about the...
In Quantico, VA. there is the Marine Corps Musuem. This is only about 2 years old now and is awesome. Also if you are in the Washington D.C. area you might want to check out Marine Corps HQ at what is known as 8th and I. You can possibly get to see the Silent Drill team and the Marine Corps...
If they are like car drum brakes it will be different from the left side to the right side. It will be the same adjuster setup just flipped over so the direction will be opposite.
I have a copy of the Lippert Axle manual and it does not specify what direction the sides go.
So just try one...
The cable idea looks nice, clean and simple. But I would be concerned about the door actually bowing in the center when some people were on the ramp. These ramps were not designed to be used this way.
What I am thinking about is maybe adding a piece of aluminum square box tubing across the...
Yianni,
The particular unit you are looking at, a 2010 model 3010 5th wheel is a new floor plan for 2010. It is replacing the Cyclone model 3210 which I happen to own a 2009 model.
I have been very happy with the unit. I have had a couple of very minor problems.(TV remote stop working...
Maybe, but if these are popular units and if they are not going to be available anymore maybe the dealers will not be willing to drop the prices as much.
It's called supply and demand.
You might be right about the 3210 being discontinued. I see that Jim Beletti has posted the MSRP listing for the 2010 Cyclones and I do not see the 3210 listed.
I have a 3210 that I purchased over the past summer. It is a 2009.
First I will say that I love the trailer.
Does that price include TTL?
What options do you mean by fully loaded? Does the price include the cherrywood cabinets and the solid surface countertops?
Airbags-definately, I have...
Does anyone know the difference between a auxilliary tank and a transfrer tank? Are they built differently?
Is it possible to gravity feed what is called a transfer tank if the tank is vented and has a drain fitting on the bottom to use for the feed?
If this is possible what I am...
We bought our 3210 from ExploreUSA Rv in Sequin,Texas. They have been very good through the entire experience. They even contacted me several weeks after the sale for a follow up.
I would highly recommend them.
I also drained my battery on my 3210. I only had 4.5 volts when I checked it. You need to add a disconnect switch. It should cost you about $25-$30 for a good one. I don't know why they did not do this from the factory.
I think the propane detector also monitors battery voltage.
Also the...
