We have had our 2800rl across the US and love it. Watch the front jacks dont raise them to high leave several inches down so you dont blow a fuse or strip the gears. had to tighten the kitchen sink drains. other than that we have had no problems and a great time.

bought mine back east also(located in spokane) and took to heartland here . nice guys to work with. be sure to contact heartland before any warrenty work if you didnt buy it there they will tell you its not covered. be sure to ask where the fuse to the jacks are and how far you can raise them...

after all the posts on this problem you would think the factory would have this listed in the manual and the salesperson doing the walk through would point out the location of the fuse. Also explain to buyer that if you raise the legs all the way up you will blow the fuse. cost me a 300$ lession.

I was reading the manual for my sundance yesterday and it stated" retract the front legs untill you hear a clutch sound then stop" I think they need to change that wording, it cost me 400$ to repair.

mine is gone also. dealer says they dont have one and its not on the part sheet? anyone finds a replacement please post the source.

If you look in search for front jacks you will see problems. NEVER raise the jacks fully up you are lucky just a blown fuse. after a 400$ fix the dealer said always leave the jacks down about 6 " mine used to blow fuses then it stripped the gears out. marked a 6" red paint mark on the jacks...

fuse there is a fuse from the battery to the motor 30amp. becareful not to raise the jacks up to high it will blow the fuse and or break the pins 400$ to replace and heartland will not cover under warrenty.:(

I agree! There should be a limit switch at least. but to save 400$ to repair i will leave the jacks 6" down that will be the same depth that my spare tire hangs down so it shouldnt hit the ground. I have painted the first 6" red so i wont go higher.

My dealer says keep the jacks about 6" down from full retracted. To replace pins is a 4 hr job at dealers not something that can be done in the field. :confused:

dealer in spokane, freedom rv and dave (service mang) did a great job. I did not buy my sundance there but no questions and not put at the bottom of the list. even when heartland refused to warrenty they gave me a deal. Thanks dave

just back from dealers to fix front jacks. plug same thing happened to me, water all over the storage compartment. service man said, oh this happens once in a while. will make a plug to put on connection when using pump.:confused:

check valve talked to service man he says the check valve will blow out sometimes? no pin to hold it in new one wont help it will do the same. just dont lose any parts when it blows. willl buy a plug to use on the fresh water connection just in case.

jacks it spins free you can see it turning the shafts going into the jacks compartment but no movement of the jacks either up or down. also i have the marks so i dont bring them up to far and the marks are still visable? will post when i see the dealer.

fresh water No ray the inside parts blew out a rubber seal,plastic seal and spring that are inside the connection to seal while using the holding tank and pump. I turned on the pump and heard water gushing out the freah water hose connection. like i said it flooded the storage compartment...

Just back from first trip 2800rls got to yellowstone park and wanted to remove trailer from truck and the jacks failed. the motor runs the cross shaft turns both shafts on the jacks the jacks are not loose. we dropped the jacks and they supported the trailer so we could spend 2 days in the park...

Just back from first trip with 2800rls. turned on the pump and with no hose connected to the rv water was flowing out the connection. found parts laying on ground. inside the connector is a spring loaded stop to prevent this happening. had to remove connector and put those parts back togeather...

fm ant called local dealer stated they could not find it in the catalog but would call hartland and call me back that was a week ago.:confused:

Just took the cover off my sundance 2800 (2009) and found the antenna missing? Can i order a new one. the base is there and doesnt look like it broke off the threads are ok jack

We have a 2800rls and have had minor problems, kitchen sink leak,and blown fuse on jacks, all easy fix. after 4000mi and 10 days camping we are very happy with our unit.

sundance Have had the same minor problems as others ( leaking kit sink hose, sink drain, lots of sawdust behind panels ect) but overall very happy with the unit. It seems the same problems are stated from many owners, you would think the factory would go back to the workers and tell them to fix...

Just bought a 2800rls (very happy with it) looking at the 6000#axle and alum. wheels don't see a lube point. do i need to remove something to lube? thought it had ez lube point?

bought a 2800rls at best buy rvs in richmond In. great service nice people. drove to st louis gas mileage dropped 1 mpg (great) only one problem so far a small leak under the kitchen sink tightened the fitting and all is well.A few fit and finish things to fix when we get home but very happy...

16th of sept we will pick our 2800rls from rv price busters in richmond in. so far great communications with them. we will then spend about 10 days traveling down to st louis then to bransen then back to spokane, wa. looking forward to a great time. Hope we made the right choice both in dealers...
