    Waffling of Exterior Skin

I just noticed a spot above my left side basement door aft of the propane compartment. It's a slight outward bulge in the fiberglass and is solid when applying pressure to it. This is the first time I've noticed it and its got me very curious. I will try to post a pic, not sure if you will be...

    Mosquitoes everywhere!!

This is our 4th season with our Cyclone and we have never had a problem like this before last weekend. The mosquitoes were particularly bad to begin with and seemed to find their way into the trailer at night. There is nothing more aggravating than hearing those little critters buzzing around...

    Landing gear issue

I heard back from the shop, I need a new jack assy. It will not be repaired prior to the holiday weekend. To say I am disgusted with my situation would be an understatement. Between my suspension failing in May and this landing gear failure I have had the Cyclone out three times this summer. I...

Yes, both bolts are there. That square shaft will turn both manually and electrically. Everything works as advertised except the ODS gear does not move.

    Landing gear issue

Yes the DS leg works fine. I crawled up in over my generator cover to take a look earlier. I couldn't see anything obvious. I'm not sure what pin you are referring to. Is this something that is easily seen or is it internal?

    Landing gear issue

It seems it's always something with this thing. I went to park our cyclone after our latest outing and the motor side of the landing gear is not moving. When moved manually the result is the same. I can see the bolt is still there that connects the square linkage to the motor. The DS leg...

    Wheel in and out play

I have had some issues with this trailer that have left me gun shy and frankly a little nervous. I am in a spot now and thought my rear DS tire looked a little low. I grabbed the tire to push on it a little and to my surprise there was some clunking coming from the wheel. I can't say I've...

Lippert Warranty Doesn't Care about safety!

Re: Broken leaf spring on Cyclone... need some advice Just came from the shop after seeing that the new 7k spring sets and hardware arrived from lippert. I was real impressed with the made in china stamped proudly on the top spring. Hopefully the upgrade from 6k springs will be enough to keep...

    Lippert springs strike again

I've given some thought to the wear and tear tight turns put on the suspension and tires. Isn't one of the selling points of HL is the 88 deg turn design? Something isn't adding up.

Lippert Warranty Doesn't Care about safety!

Re: Broken leaf spring on Cyclone... need some advice I have six new 7k springs and hardware on the way from Lippert (Thanks Lippert!). I'm curious if anyone has experienced a second failure once they have upgraded with Lippert replacement parts?

Lippert Warranty Doesn't Care about safety!

I did re-send the email but this time also included Andrew VanSchoick from Lippert. I was pleasantly woken up early this morning by a phone call from Lippert. I spoke with Gary Marvel at Lippert and I'm here to tell you, he has assured me they will take care of business. He has already...

Lippert Warranty Doesn't Care about safety!

Sounds very familiar eh? No more info on the repairs from the shop yet. I have however ordered G rated wheels and tires to upgrade my E rated setup. My shop has assured me that it will be better than new once it gets some TLC. As more develops I'll post here. BTW I did email Lippert a second...

I would like to discuss it with them. But to be honest, at this point I'd rather pay out of pocket than get replacement parts from Lippert.

Lippert Warranty Doesn't Care about safety!

Copied and pasted as requested Yesterday I was towing my cyclone back to the storage lot when I heard an unusual dragging/scraping sound. I pulled over to discover my right rear axle's leaf spring in pieces and the noise was coming from part of the spring dragging on the asphalt. By the time I...

Lippert Warranty Doesn't Care about safety!

Re: Broken leaf spring on Cyclone... need some advice I emailed Lippert and sent them some pictures. Hopefully I hear back soon. The more I think about this the more disgusted I feel. I might have 1500 miles on the trailer since purchasing it. Thanks for all the support

Lippert Warranty Doesn't Care about safety!

Re: Broken leaf spring on Cyclone... need some advice I wasn't loaded at all. In fact I have never had any kind of weight to speak of in the trailer since new. Not a good feeling knowing that this failed with just the weight of the chassis.

Re: Broken leaf spring on Cyclone... need some advice I appreiciate all the feedback and PM's. This happened late last night and today being Sunday, I don't anticipate any information or answers until tomorrow. I'll contact Lipert and see what they can do for me.

    Woke up freezing this morning

My first thought was that I had run out of LP. The furnace seemed to be operating but the fan was not blowing. I checked the fuse panel and sure enough, the furnace fuse was blown. After replacing the fuse, it immediately blew again. Is there any thing simple that I should check? If I take...

Bad solar panel integrated with Dometic AC cover

FennerJ - Thanks for following up. I spoke with the dealer this afternoon after they spoke with Chris. It sounded like they figured out what happened to the replacement part(s) and will be straightened out soon. Jim - Thank you for fixing the title of this thread and for posting the link...

Bad solar panel integrated with Dometic AC cover

That's the one. Apparently it is some kind of trickle charger. The problem with it is that when the battery disconnect is off it was supplying approx 4V to the LP Sensor. This was enough to cause its alarm to sound. The dealer troubleshoot it down to the solar panel, because it should be...

Bad solar panel integrated with Dometic AC cover

My dealer has troubleshot an ongoing problem down to a faulty solar panel. It was only put out around 4V and was not wired to the batteries properly. My Cyclone has been parked there for the last month while this has been on order. According to my dealer, Valley RV in Wasilla AK, they have...

Cyclone door locks not keyed alike???

Probably for the interior garage door. I've got four on mine too.

    Confused and frustrated

The dealer did not know the panel was there and is unfamiliar with them or how it ties into the charging system. When I turn off the disconnect, that is when I get the tone. It doesn't make sense how an LP sensor can run without power. When you turn the disconnect back on it stops.

    LP sensor question

Thanks for the input. I was not connected to shore power and was disconnecting the batteries to park the trailer for a few weeks when this occured. I haven't checked to see if I can use shore power with the disconnect off, I've always left it on to charge the batteries. Which on a side note...

    LP sensor question

Jim Correct, battery switched off and on shore power. I do have a solar panel installed. Would that indicate the panel is bad? I put more details in another post before I found this older one. Apparently the panel is only producing 4V. Brett

    Confused and frustrated

On going saga here with the dealer on my Cyclone. Long story short, with my battery disconnect off my LP sensor goes emits a steady tone. The dealer troubleshot it down to a bad disconnect and eventually changed it only to have the same issue. I went to pick it up yesterday not knowing that...

    Leak under toilet?

We have experienced an on going intermittent leak that has me baffled. Every once in a while there is a small puddle under the valve side of the toilet. When I reach around the can't tell where it is coming from. So far it seems that the toilet only leaks when it is not in use. Almost...

    DVD Function, Jensen Audio

Is it just me or is the Jensen system extremely finicky when it comes to playing DVDs? I have numerous movies that won't start at all, others that will hesitate and jerk though the scenes. While a few other DVDs work flawlessly. I can't visually see what would be causing this and the discs...

    Odd hitch question

I did contact them and was told it would be good. They are tested for more, obviously that number is top secret, but I was reassured that their 18K hitch will indeed haul a 18K trailer with no issues.

    Odd hitch question

I want to install a B&W companion in a new truck. Their website says the companion is rated at 18K #'s. My TH maxes out at 18K, is this a good match or do I need a safety margin for example a 20K hitch for a 18K GVWR TH?

    Upgrading Rig

Thanks to all that have put up with my endless questions about my current TV. After receiving lots of advice I have chosen to upgrade to a 08 Dodge Laramie 3500 4x4 Auto. This will be better suited to my Cyclones weight and will give me more piece of mind. 6 Speed tranny, DRW and Exhaust...
