    What's your favorite carry weapon?

Texas law was changed recently so that a CHL holder is no longer required to notify the police that have CHL. It used to be that you had to present your CHL anytime you were asked for a drivers license. No longer however. Once they run your DL they will know you have a CHL.

    Big Country 3250TS Generator connection

Bob & Patty - Where did you connect the plug to that you connect to the generator? I have decided that leaving the gen set in the bed of the truck is the only way I can do this. Did you connect and RV cable to the breaker in the box in the trailer? Where did you tap in to connect the power to...

    Generator carrier installation

I have decided to use two (2) Champion generator inverters for my Big Country 5th wheel. Combined with a parallel kit they are 3400 watts continuous and only wt 48.1 lbs each for a total wt of less than 100 lbs. They are 53 db and are approved for forrest service use. I want to mount them on the...

    Big Country 3250TS Generator connection

I will check into the motorcycle chain and lock. I have been trying to figure out how to bolt it down. That will be just one thing of at least two security measures. They stole from the truck in from of my house. No scratches on the truck so there was at least 2 and they probably lifted it right...

    Big Country 3250TS Generator connection

What you guys said is something I was concerned about but had no answer to so I asked for others thoughts. Carrying it in the truck or back bumper were my logical thoughts and plugging the trailer in to the generator. I have been somewhat skeptical about put the gen in the truck since I had one...

    Big Country 3250TS Generator connection

I have browsed all the generator forums and didn't see anything on this.....Where do you connect a generator in an RV that does not have the prep kit installed? I am thinking about installing a generator in the front compartment (Not the basement storage) or perhaps on a mount on the rear...

    What's your favorite carry weapon?

I agree Borntawade. It is better to carry a handgun than a cop. A cop takes 10-15 minutes to get there. I carry a Glock 23 .40 cal. I use an open belt holster with a vest most of the time. In the summer when it is hot I have a belt bag that has holster inside it. I can unzip it and draw just...

    Generator connections

I plan to buy a portable generator to power my BIG COUNTRY 5th wheel Model 3350TS air conditioner primarily. I want to leave it in the bed of the truck. The trailer connections are all located on the left rear corner of the trailer and it will be difficult to run the power cord to the truck...

    3250TS Generator connections

By having the gen in the truck and a connection in the front compartment I could avoid running about 35 ft of 30 amp ext. cord to the 50 amp power connection which is about 18" from the rear bumper. 30 amp would be all I would need since I would not have to power the 2nd ac with the gen. That...

    3250TS Generator connections

I have looked in the front compartment for generator connections and haven't found anything that resembles any. I am contemplating installing a generator in the front compartment OR put the gen in the truck bed and use a cord from the front compartment to plug up to the gen set. Does anyone...

    Big Horn / Big Country

I recently bought a BC because it had the floorplan we liked and was the length we could park in the space we have. The features and quality are more than you could ask for at the price. We got a really good price since the rv market is ready to move the units. In my view either unit is a good...

    Air Compressors

Check the amp load you want to run. The formulas for calculating the watts you need for the amp load is at the link below. My advice is to get more inverter than you calculate will support your load. Remember that when you start looking at inverters to check how much drain there will be on your...

    Air Compressors

I like that but that is a little pricey to me. I have a Husky dual tank 4 gal. that draws 14 amp. I am considering buying a 2500 watt inverter and go that way. Another option is to spend that $400 and buy a generator. I found some new generators on craigslist for $450, 3800 watt. Some others...

    Air Compressors

Some good info. Thanks a lot. The idea of using an inverter to power the compressor sounds intriguing short of buying a generator which I would also like to do.

    Air Compressors

That is one that I am considering. I would like to find a 1 gal or so air tank and rig it up with a shutoff switch and relief valve. There is a harbor freight a couple of miles from me so I am going to see if they have a tank as well. Thanks.

That type of pump is one of the options but the one's I have seen so far don't seem to have the psi I need. I will check some others like that. Thanks.

    Air Compressors

Let me throw a monkey wrench in all this. What do you do for air when you don't have a 120 volt source? I am assuming all of you guys with the new Sears compressors have generators. I am looking for a 12 Volt compressor that will push out at least 125 psi to air up my 5th Airborne strut and...

    Brake Controller

After posting this I went to Prodigy's website and read the troubleshooting charts. I don't think they are in the instructions. I never saw it anyway. The answer is this...the two flashing lines at the bottom indicate the unit is mount at to low of an angle and the flashing lines at the top...

    Brake Controller

I have a Chevy 3500 dually and tow a Big Country 3250TS. On a recent trip the brakes were grabbing and it appeared the rear axle brakes were not working. I took it to the dealer and they are checking them. So far it appears one brake is not activating. I have a Prodigy controller, the model...

    Tripod

Have you or anyone else ever seen a 5ver front stabilizer jack break and cause the trailer to fall? For your info I doubt seriously a tripod would hold the wt if the front stab jack did break. I like the idea of the JT Strong Arms rather than a tripod, if no other reason the convienence...

    Tripod

Thanks for your replies. I have a 5th Airborne pin box. I haven't used a tripod yet since I haven't been out yet in my 5ver. We just got it about 10 days ago. My son has the front landing jack stabilizers on his trailer. I will look into to those. One less thing to do an setup and teardown...

What is the real purpose of the tripod I see being used under the pin on the hitch? It doesn't seem to really have any effect on leveling since the from and rear jacks do that.

OK...the BC does not have the valves. What is prevent cutting one hose to each slide and install a valve?

    Differences - BH vs BC

I noticed that the list is not accurate for 09 BC. There are a few things that are shown as not optional but are actually opt. on BC because mine has them. Also the valves for controling the slides not being on the BC are a disappointment. I bet it would not take much to install them. Cut a...

    3250TS slide operation

I just purchased a 3250TS and was told by the dealer that all the slides operate off one switch with the smaller slide going out 1st and then the next smaller, etc. My question is this...Is there a way to operate (override the all slide function) and move one slide or two slides rather than...

    Opinion on Sundance 5th wheel

Thanks Ray. We got the 3250TS. It has the rear living room and the kitchen on the street side in the super slide. The sink and counter top is along the bath wall. The trailer is a very open floor plan with the two opposing slides. Plenty of room to move around when my son and his family goes...

Looking for info about Big Country 3250 TS

I will tell you what I think about it in a few days. We are picking our 2009 BC up Tue afternoon. I really like the floorplan and the quality of the coach. I have been looking at RV's for a few weeks to replace our Prowler. The BC just has a higher quality level than the others we looked at...
