I have a 2008 Onan 5500 I just got the trailer used/as is from a reseller. When we looked at the trailer everything to be working and the generator was running. During our first trip we noticed a strong smell from the exhaust and at times running ruff. After the trip I went to service the system...

So I un hooked the wires at the water heater flipped the breaker and pop!!! So I guess I have a short in the wire before the water heater.

Thats the next step..... I’ll keep everyone posted and that to all for the help!

I was finally able to get to the box and everything looks good.... I’m stumped:mad:

[INDENT]Thanks for the info Jim... I just have a heck of a time getting to that box. I can only access from under the sink and there is not much room to get back there. I will find a way!

So I ordered a new heating element figured reguardless it would be a good idea to change it. Got the new one installed and still having the same issue. So I guess now it’s on the the electrical connection on the back of the water tank.

I found and replaced the water pump, It was located under the bed.

What is this black box with 2 push buttons that say push to reset on the outside of the water heater? I tried punishing them and they don’t move.

I can’t find the UDC, I don’t have any basement storage. Would I need to acces this from under the camper? I feel like I have taken everything apart and looked behind everything from inside the camper. So the only logical place to look would be under right. Please tell me if I’m crazy.

I just picked up a 2008 cyclone 3010tt and the water pump is not working and I can’t find it. Normally you turn it on and follow the sound but when I turn the pump on nothing happens. Thanks for your help in advance.
