Can't get hitch off the ball!

Thanks to all for the comments!, My wife is the controller at 4 wheel camper in Woodland, and the production manager did us a favor and came by to look at the problem. I was worried about damaging my new truck/ trailer, so I was worried about using a crow bar. The manager, got the ball off...

Can't get hitch off the ball!

Hi Greg, the good news is I got the nut off the bolt. The bad news is when I tried to raise the jack for the TT, it lifted my bumper again a few inches. I took a mallet and tried to hit the bottom of the bolt to move it up. It was not happening:( Tried to hit the side of the bolt as well...

Can't get hitch off the ball!

I know it is strange, and not too happy it is happing to me. Here are some pics. So to undo the nut, do I want a small amount of pressure on the ball, where the trailer is just beginning to lift up the bumper. Or do I want most of the weight on ball, as if I were in tow mode. thanks

Can't get hitch off the ball!

Thanks John for the diagram, I think the lever is completely open, as I can stick my finger all the way through and follow the ball to the base. It is open about 3/4 of an inch. On the other end the ball is only about 1/4 of an inch open. I put a call in for a mobile RV repairman, have yet to...

Can't get hitch off the ball!

Hi Greg, I tried that, but with both wheels chocked with double sets, the entire trailer moved forward. The truck was dragging the trailer, yikes. How about the suggestion on taking off the large nut on the bottom of the ball? My sense is that I would have to find the spot where the weight...

Can't get hitch off the ball!

Took Patti and Jon's advice and leveled the truck to be the same as the trailer, but unfortunately this would not work. Took out the receiver pin and pulled ever so slightly and unfortunately, moved the entire trailer, chocks, and wooden block about 3 inches forward, yikes. This is day number...

Can't get hitch off the ball!

Hi, tried to put TV in neutral to relieve tension, but did not work. Reversed the TV ever so slightly, but was not able to move the ball to the rear of the hitch. Hitch lever is fully retracted. I made sure the trailer was chocked in both directions. All that is happening, is my truck bumper...

Can't get hitch off the ball!

I moved my m27 from the front yard to the side yard. Noticed I had to level the trailer with one of those plastic blocks. When I went to unhitch the trailer and I could not get the hitch off the ball. I have tried the following. 1.) Pulled up and back on the lock lever, lowered and raised the...

    Towing with a Titan

Set up to tow a M27, 8,000 lbs loaded with a 2018 Nissan Titan. My truck has a towing capacity of 9,400 lbs. I think I am stretching it though. Thought about using a Hensley Arrow. Is there anything else I could do to my rig to make it safer or easier to tow. Thanks for any comments or...
