    check u bolt torque

How can we involve Lippert or Heartland regarding this thread? What causes the u-bolts to loosen? Should we be re-tightening the u-bolts ourselves? How do we prevent this from happening?

    check u bolt torque

Re: More of the Same I'm not aware of a method to determine torque wrench calibration. I suggest purchasing a high quality wrench like a Snap-On or Craftsman. I don't advocate spending money unnecessarily but this seems like a tool your life may depend on.

    check u bolt torque

Fortunately I was transitioning from one congested freeway to another congested freeway. The ramp speed was 30mph and I was under that. I never exceed 62mph while towing, even in the best of conditions.

    check u bolt torque

It doesn't seem appropriate to have an unwritten, unstated policy requiring the customer to check the torque of the U-Bolt nuts on a regular and continual basis, however, it is definitely a safety issue, and right or wrong, I will continue checking for my own peace of mind. I understand the...

    check u bolt torque

My coach had just under 2000 miles on it when this occurred. Wish I had a very simple safety checklist; check U-Bolt torque, check tire wheel bolt torque, check tire inflation, check tire wear, don't over extend the electric motor driven rear stabilizer legs (may blow the motor), don't over...

    check u bolt torque

I have previously owned class "A" buses but my 2009 Landmark Augusta is my first purchase of a 5th wheel trailer. Until the time of my accident I had no clue it was necessary to check the torque on the axle U-bolts. I agree with the recommendation of "wyleyrabbit" to consolidate a safety check...

    Hot Water Presure - LOW

My check valve broke off as well. I also had a portion of the check valve stuck in the threads of the water heater. There was no easy out, I used a small propane torch to melt the plastic piece out of the water heater (after I drained it). There is no plumbing harnessing, I think the constant up...

    Cold Air Only

Are you sure you have propane? Have you checked your circuit breaker panel? Try lighting the stove. If the stove does not light, check the petcock valve in one of your propane compartments. The valve gives you the option of running a single propane tank, or both simultaneously, depending on the...

Let me be to the third of eleven respondents to recommend Great Escapes RV in Gamaliel, Arkansas. We drove 1700 miles from Long Beach, CA to Gamaliel, Arkansas to purchase our 2009 Landmark Augusta. Dave, the owner, is as honest a man as you will ever meet. He locked in a price on the Landmark...

    Electric Power Cord Reel Retrofit

If you are not careful your electric motor can pull the power cord plug into, and around, the cable cylinder. If this happens it is a nightmare trying to get the cable back out of the enclosure. Not impossible but very challenging and time consuming. I now stop the cable 12" to 15" from the...
