    Stupid Tank Gauges

Mine were always giving strange readings. One day when I took the belly off, i noticed how all of the wiring under there was just laying around. Being anal, I tied everything up properly just because that's how I like things. When I went to use the trailer after that, the gauges seemed to work...

    Landing Gear Dual Conversion

Hi Bill, I found it by Googling Lippert landing gear. The manual spoke of how the nut which is fixed to the exterior square tube is cone shaped. When you pour engine oil down the square tube, oil pools in the cone. As the screw goes up and down, it automatically gets lubricated. By the way mine...

    7440 led bulbs?

I tried just changing the regular bulb to an LED. It doesn't appear different. If you are looking for the bright look of an LED, get the whole fixture. Just changing the bulb to an LED will give you a longer lasting bulb, but for the price, I would go with the whole fixture. Guy

    Landing Gear Dual Conversion

My landing gear started to slowly get slower and slower over the space of a few months. It got to the point where it would barely lift the trailer off the truck! In my despair, I did what a lot of men do... I read the manual! It turns out that you are supposed to oil the landing gear posts from...

    Water Pump Pressure

Hi there, I had very low water pressure in my 3300BHS when I got it. I adjusted the pump pressure at the set screw on the pump head. I also added a cushion tank in the plumbing system. Now the pump is quieter and has as much pressure as in my house. Guy

    Towing a 3300 RLB Sundance

I agree. Yes, I am above the GCVWR as set by GM's marketing department, but well within my front and rear axle ratings. As for chucking, a 1 ton dually makes no difference as I have tried it with my dad's dually 3500. My truck pulls my 3300 BHS very comfortably. Guy

What I found out about GVWR

Thanks for the info Michael. I always wondered why they didn't add up. My truck does the job of pulling my Sundance even though it is over it's GVWR but within the sum of it's axle weights. Oh well. I'll have to get a bigger truck regardless. The law is the law... Guy

    Water pump blows the plug

There is a plug that you can buy in case it happens again, but the connection in the trailer has a built in check valve. Looks like your check valve is faulty. It can be something as simple as it being misaligned or broken. It's an easy fix regardless. I keep a plug in my trailer just in case...

    Chev 2500HD or 3500HD

If you want to be legal, get the 3500 dually. The 2500HD CAN definitly do the job, but if you get into an accident or are spot checked, you will be in trouble. I have a 2500HD pulling a 3300BHS and it is overweight by approximately 800 pounds per gross vehicle weight rating. I'm ok by every...

1st time post - Concern With Weights

Keith - See my answers below... 1. When I weighed the tongue it was 900 lbs without water and the wife/kids, the hitch weight for the trailer indicates 675 lbs and the bars 600 lbs. Will the weight distribution system compensate for this? Should I empty the trailer and get an empty tongue...

    14,000 Equil-i-zer Hitch for 31QBS

A larger than required WDH is not a problem as you can always dial down the tension on the torsion bars. But too small a WDH will cause problems similar to not having any WDH. I would rather have larger than required WDH as it gives you more flexibility. You could almost crank it so hard that...

Curt E-100 Bumper Mount Receiver Hitch

I had the same done to mine as Irvin66. A welder friend of mine cut off the old flimsy 4" sqaure bumper and welded on a good 3/16" thick 4" bumper. I haul 5 bikes on it with the bumper adapter. No problems. I guess the 'bikes on the king pin' idea is OK as long as your weight ratings on your...

Shower - Serious Water Temp Issue

There is a phillips screw on the end of the pump (oposite motor end) which you can turn to adjust the water pressure settings. In order to increase the pressure, you turn the screw clockwise. Make sure to count the number of turns you give it so that you can set it back the way it was in case...

Optical illusion - or major issue?

One thing you can try (now I know this is not scientific so all you mechanics out there give me a break!!!) is to run your truck and trailer through a puddle of water and then in a straight line on dry pavement. Shower - Serious Water Temp Issue

You alluded to the the situation happening when running off the pump and tank. You also mentioned you have poor pressure. Those 2 tidbits indicate that your problem is with the set-up of the pump itself. You will have to adjust your pump cut-in and cut-out so that you have the proper...

New bumper A welder friend of mine simply replaced the 100 mil thin bumper I had with a 3/16" bumper. The original diamond plate on the 'old' bumper was re-installed on the new bumper. Yuck. Water tastes bad!

Willeyrabbit, Been there done that when it comes to that funny taste! It doesn't matter if you are drinking water from the hose hook up from the park or your fresh water tank because the water at the tap goes through the trailer's plumbing system. It can go away on it's own over time, but...
