I use the block and shim method and it works fairly well but I still get some shimmy when someone with heavy feet walks around in the living room or the washing machine get a little out of balance.
I have never used the tripod under the pin box. I was told it was a waste of time and money but...
I priced a DoubleTree with two bedrooms and the lowest price I could get was $111,800. It's still tempting but not that tempting. I've heard they are the best camper on the market today. That was a quote by a RVIA certified repairman.
HT,
How does your Duramax/Allison pull the Cyclone? I have the '05 GMC 2WD, 4 door Duramax/Allison. I'm thinking of trading my 09' Landmark for the Cyclone so I can pick up a bedroom for my son. How does the air conditioner work in the garage area? This will wind up being his room should I...
Something I find odd is that my Heartland has twin 40 pounders and the Cyclone has 30's. Seems like the Cyclone would have twin 40's also. In the cold of the Tennessee winter, my Landmark used one 40 pound bottle of propane every 8 days and that was supplimented with a small ceramic heater plus...
Flair - Never More
I stand by my claim that Flair is nothing but junk. Elaine at Flair told me that she couldn't supply the bent bolts because Heartland bent them. The problem was the welded nuts broke. I finally got her to send them to me but not the longer screws that would make the arms not...
You must be talking about a different Flair that what is in my camper. The Flair sofa that I have is junk. Have you seen the sofabed that is made by Flex Steel? So much better quality than Flair.
thanks,
Rat
Kenny, My doors have no metal that I can tell. They are particle board or something cheap like that.
I think I will try the gorilla glue first and if that don't work I'll try the wood glue once again.
Thanks to all of you for your help.

I agree on the 2 bedroom..
I was told by the factory there was NOWAY they would custom build a two bedroom Landmark. As a matter of fact, the Landmark became my second choice. Unfortunately my first choice went bankrupt so I was left with the Landmark and one bedroom. Sure wish the factory had...
OK, I have another complaint. The lifts for the basement doors keep coming detached from the doors. The screws keep reaming out and will not keep them attached. I guess the cheap composite of the doors is not strong enough to keep them from stripping out. I tried refilling the original screw...
The Flair sofa that is in my Landmark really stinks and I'm not talking about smell. I have already had to rebuild it and Flair reluctantly sent out the parts or at least some of them. I was told by Flair that the factory screwed up the sofa so they should have to repair it. I sincerely hope...
Hey,
I have a 2005 Dually, duramax and I'm getting about 16 1/2 MPG driving locally to and from work which is about 8 miles away. I've not gotten on the road with the dually as of yet. Just pulling the Landmark around the campground (changing sites) I'm glad I opted for the dually. I feel more...
Problem solved
Problem solved. RVIA certified mechanic fixed the problem in about 10 minutes. The valve (backflow) was sticking mostly shut which restricted the flow. Unfortunatly it cost me about $70 to find that out. So donations will be accepted.. LOL :p
Hope this helps someone out in...
I have a 2009 PineHurst and it's just past the 1 year mark in age. My hot water pressure has went south. I have great cold water pressure but the hot water pressure is very low. What's your take on this problem?? I have used a water filter from day 1 which I have changed out on a regular basis...
My bad... The leak appears when we are parked. The dealer doesn't want to do any repairs. He left it up to us to "FIND" someone who was qualified to work on it. I think they call that Customer Service after the sale.
Anyway that's another story. I appreciate your help.
Thanks,
I beg to disagree. A justifiable complaint is not whining. While I have owned 3 RV's now, my Landmark is by far the most expensive and comes with the most problems. I would hope that Heartland Inc. would read these forums and 'resolve the problems' in the factory.
JMHO
Has anyone else had this problem?? We sold our house last July and purchased at 2009 LandMark Pine Hurst. We are now full timers in East Tennessee. We have water leaks. Not just one but many. We replaced the icemaker water line due to a hole. One down... We had water coming out in the floor by...
Jim,
I had problems with mine also. I got to the valve from inside the shower. The opening just below the faucet will unscrew so you can get to it.
Good luck.
Ron
