Ok so Im seeing a theme here.....Local CU. Ill reach out to a couple in the area and see what rates are out there. We bought last June when rates were a little higher so with rates across the board dropping I was hoping to get a much better rate. I guess 1% lower is better but I assumed I would...
Hey everyone,
We are looking at the option of refinancing our RV loan. We are currently 5.74% and looking to see if there are better rates. Credit score is mid 700s, the RV is a 2020 Cyclone 4007....just looking for a better rate based if possible.
thanks
Mike
Hey All,
So the joys of RV ownership just keep showing up!!!:rolleyes::mad:
I have a 2020 Cyclone 4007. We are living in it while we do a remodel on our house so its our temporary home. I have water coming into the RV at the top of the stairs going into the master bedroom. It is not...
I think at this point a DIY is the best option. I just need to figure out how to get the door out of the track. Once I do that I should be able to reattach the track to the ceiling. If anyone has info on how to get the door out of the track that would be awesome.
Just wanted to update the thread. Ive spent hours on the phone calling all the local Heartland Dealers, other RV repair shops and even Camping World. It is absolutely shocking how difficult it is to have warranty repairs done. The local dealers (there is only 1 within 2 hours of me but they have...
Thank you for the reply. I have an email chain with Heartland so I will keep you all posted. Im actually intrigued as to how they will do this repair without pulling the wall apart. This seems like a really poor design! They either need to use much better hardware or put the track on the floor...
Hey everyone,
We took our trailer to Cannon Beach Oregon for the weekend. We had an absolute blast and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cool beach town to relax at for a few days.
Unfortunately when we arrived I noticed that the sliding bathroom door was hanging at a...
One of the nice things about western Washington is the weather is pretty temperate. Lows typically stay in the 30s (mostly above freezing) with a few days of snow. That being said I dont want to wake up one morning with a frozen line because I didnt prep. We do not have an ice maker so no...
Hey All,
So we are full timing it this winter and Im looking for tips on winterization. I have a fresh water hose that is about 150ft so I need to figure out how to insulate it. Do I need a skirt with the bottom of my RV fully enclosed? Should I wrap my black and grey water pipes? Anything else...
Ok final update here.......Danemayer you were spot on. When I set both thermostats to Fan "Auto" the furnace will run without kicking on the fan/ac unit in the bedroom. Thank you for your help, Sam and I truly appreciate it!!
Update for everyone. I spoke with Heartland's customer service today and they told me that the AC unit in the bedroom kicks on when the furnace is on to help circulate the air and heat the rig up better. They told me there is no way to run the furnace with that AC unit running. Total bummer...
Hey everyone, Thanks for all your feedback.....Whoa I didnt realize this topic was a hot button!
To me it seems logical to use the supports if you are staying in your RV for an extending period. Short periods are fine Im sure. I dont understand the argument that the slide could be damaged if a...
I am going to call Heartland and see if there is another solution. The closest dealer is a ways away and because we are in it full time (for now) I cant leave it at the dealer for more than a day.
Thanks for your help!
Mike
Hi All,
So we are full timing it while we remodel our home. Our RV is parked on a concrete slab in the back yard which is not perfectly level. I can not get my RV level. Through some reading I think the dealer did not set the auto level system to a true level before delivery and because of that...
This is the thermostat in the livingroom/kitchen. As you see I have it set to furnace but the furnace will not actually turn on until I turn the thermostat in the bedroom to furnace which then turns the front HP on. I dont want to have to run both, especially at night when we are trying to sleep.
Quick update, I tried your suggestion and it did not work the only thing that happens when you push both up and down arrows at the same time is it changes the setting from Fahrenheit to Celsius. Im going to put a call into Heartland directly to see if I can get an answer.
Ill let you all know...
I do not and dont think we would need it with the spring tension from the hinges.
I do have one question for the group about the rear ramp, ours doesn't seal in the top right corner, is there an adjustment that we can make to the hinges or the closing mechanism to ensure a tighter seal...
I will try that. If I remember correctly I only see 3 options on the display. Fan, A/C and Heat. Ill look tonight when I get home and see if the control in the living room has different options.
Thanks, Ill look into the floor registers. Our furnace is in the living room area so the middle of the rig stays pretty warm, the only area that suffers is the garage. Ill use a space heater in there.
Mike

Glad to hear your rig stayed warm in those harsh conditions...
Hi Rod,
Thanks for the warm welcome. Where in Washington are you? We are in North Bend. A rally sounds like it could be fun, where do I find the info on it?
Mike
Hi danemayer,
Thanks for your response and welcome to the forum. In my trailer we have 3 separate heatpumps/ac units. 1 in the master bedroom, 1 in the living area and 1 in the garage/second bedroom. The furnace is in the living room area which is nice because most of the hot air gets put out...
Hello all, my girlfriend and I are new to the RV life so we are looking forward to learning from all of you. We purchased a 2020 Cyclone 4007 and am loving it so far. We are living it while we do portions of a remodel on our house and taking it out for weekend getaways. I will share our...
