Camping in a BIG Country :)

We had a 38' Big Horn and camped for a week at Fishing Bridge in Yellowstone...a neighbor also had a 38' Montana. We had no problems (although we were worried about it prior to arriving). If you don't park in the site just right, your slides may not be extended fully. If you're parked...

    Louisiana -- near Natchitoches

We stayed at South Toledo Bend State Park in July. Very nice. Had site CI002. Private, no neighbors beside us, deck and a view of the lake through the trees. Hiking trail to Eagle's Nest (if you can stand the walk in the heat) and great concrete trails around the lake, nice exhibits at the...

What's your favorite campground in the south ????????

'"With Passport, $8 a night can't be beat. Close to good music, good dancing and great food!!! Perfect place to stay for Mardi Gras (the old-fashioned one) in Eunice, La. Great fun. Sorry...that should be Federal Senior Pass (Golden Access or whatever) for the oldies instead of Passport. They...

What's your favorite campground in the south ????????

Since we're huge Cajun music fans, we love to go to Louisiana. One of our favorite places to stay is Lake Chicot State Park near Ville Platte. Beautiful moss-covered trees. Nice large sites. Okay, you've also got heat, humidity and some mosquitoes, but that just comes with the territory. No...

08 Duramax 6.6 LMM and Edge Evolution

Anybody running an Edge Evolution on their Duramax and experiencing "engine power reduced "message on slight inclines or small hills (when pulling 5th wheel--ours is 3600 Big Horn)? Edge is set to towing mode and truck power reduces dramatically down to 5 mph. This didn't happen until I...

    The tax poem

Love this! We are members of the 912 coalition and are attending the March on Washington on Sept. 12. I think I'll print this out and pass it out to people. I'm also emailing it to everyone I know. We've got to DO something. Thanks.

    Big Horn People

We're at the Kan-Do RV Campground south of Montgomery City (closest place we could get to a Cajun Festival at Hermann). Hope you're not friends with the owners, but we call it as we see it. Shady sites, close together, soft sites, and sites over-all giving the impression that more landscaping...

    Big Horn People

In the middle of Missouri on the trip from H.....What else can happen??? Latest incident: Pulled into the big rig pull-thru site and the RV left back tires immediately sank up to the frame into freshly dug up "gumbo" type mud..RV park owners didn't even hint that it was there and that others...

    BigHorn AC vibration

Update: You were right....dirt dobbers nest on the squirrel cage. Fortunately we had the bedroom AC for last night so we didn't have to keep running it. Should have suspected dirt dobbers nest....we have them everywhere in our shop....even get up into our chairs inside their covers....up...

    BigHorn AC vibration

Thanks for the quick responses. I've done your recommendations. It appears to be the fan. It is quieter on High, but still vibrates. Low fan rattles the windows. I've checked behind filter and looked for loose objects, but found nothing . Haven't been on the roof to look under cowling. It...

Need help with identifying a switch

The mystery switch is solved. Finally had time to check the outlets near the top of the BR window and awning. That was it. Used a hair dryer to test it. So, somebody won a bet, but don't remember who. Thanks for all the responses. It's good to know someplace to go for quick answers...

Need help with identifying a switch

Thanks for such quick responses! It's not the HWH....already found it. And another switch is labeled for the ceiling fan. We don't have an electric awning, so that may be the answer, since it doesn't seem to operate anything else. The heated tanks.....that may be it too, but how do we know?

Need help with identifying a switch

Hello. We just bought a "like-new" 2008 Big Horn 3600 RL. Haven't left the driveway yet, but we love it. It had no manuals with it, but have managed to figure most things out. However, there's one switch we can't find what it operates. In the door where the tank levels are, the switch to the far...
