You all might consider putting Amsoil in all your vehicles, even the generators. I was getting 18mpg on Dodge RAM 5.9. After putting oil in all the cases I am getting between 25-28mpg.

Definately add air bags...my husband installed ours. It made a whole world of difference. We pull our 3950 with 2500 Cummins Diesel extended cab. We will upgrade in the future, but for now the 2500 will do. We are not FT'ers yet. So it is doing a nice job so far.

LOL...Let me restate that...the biggest towable.

We were told that the 3950 Cyclone is the biggest 5th wheel on the market that has no engine. Is this true? If it isn't we'd hate to see the biggest one.

Watch out for the jack motor and gears. Our 3950 has had all the parts replaced at different times in the last year. The Lippert equipment leaves a lot to be desired. They are the jack system supplier.

We have air bags on our truck and do the same as you when unhitching. However, if trailer is apart from the truck at a park, and lowered if need be to level then we have a problem. Happened in Savannah, Ga. Trailer was level. Truck bed was higher with no air in the bags. What do you know out...

Thanks Coley, We'll check with some of the RV dealers in the Dothan,AL area about working on the Cyclone when needed. Then we'll call Heartland and make sure said dealer is authorized to service our unit.

Why is it that Heartland doesn't or hasn't looked into a new company besides Lippert for the jack system on these units, and other units for that matter? Seems Lippert has a lot of issues with dependable equipment more than just the jack system for such nice RV's.

We actually enjoy our Cyclone too, except for the jack system giving us Migraine's. not to mention a few pulled muscles cranking the d**n thing manually from our truck a few times.

We feel your pain and hold our breath each time we do the raising and lowering the RV. As you said if Heartland would eal with someone besides Lipert they would have a lot happier customers.

The 3950 certainly has plenty of room. we plan on using as much as possible in a few years once we fully retire. We know where Slapout is.

Yep, Lippert seems to have inadequate quality control & equipment at the very least. We have also thought replacing current jack system with a hydraulic system, but that has a rather steep $ tag attached to it....but who knows we still may go that way if all else fails.
