    Campground recommendations -Colonial Williamsburg

Another vote for American Heritage here. However you will still hear an occasional train in the distance due to the tracks being nearby. You may not notice if you aren't looking for it. American Heritage is a well kept and peaceful CG. The owners are nice and so is the staff. The campers there...

    HD attenna

It is true that an older antenna can pickup DTV/HD channels. However you need an HD receiver/tuner to see the signal in HD (not just DTV) as all HD is DTV, but not all DTV is HD. Most HDTVs will tell you at what resolution you are receiving the signal (i.e. 480P, 720P, 1080i or 1080P).

Yes, it appears that is the weight for three of NT's 5'ers.

    Cleaning Product?

Simple Green does come in different strength levels. For the very concentrated kind, I find that you have to either order it or buy it from a speacialty store. It will strip paint and cut through just about any stain. We used it, and they still do, in the USMC along with CitriClean (stronger...

    TV Commercial Rant...

Fixed Audio Out Several TV models have an audio setting called "Fixed Audio Out" or something similar in its setup or audio menu. This is to attenuate the volume level for this same reason as you stated. If you know the make and model # of your TV, then I can check to see if it has it or not.

    Shurflo smart sensor 5.7

Curious if an oxygen shower head would lower water flow without the feel of a low flow head? Or would that add too much pressure with the combination of the Shurflo?

    Virginia RV'ing

I must say it is one of the cleanest parks (non State Park) I've seen. I just don't like the one car at site rule, but it isn't a deal breaker. I'm supposed to be sleeping in today, but DW and her twin are up talking for the past several hours! KOA Lurray is my stop in June for Father's...

    6000 mile trip..

Now that is an inspirational reason to travel. I have a spinal injury from the Marine Corps and Iraq. My DW and youngest son were in a car accident in September and now she has a permanent spinal cord injury which limits her (T4/T5 - I believe) left side of her body. We have been discussing...

VDOT post that warning on the LED signs warning of that danger for motorcycles. They are slowly working towards that way correcting the road. Due to cuts, it is taking a while to finish.

    2009 Ford Super Duty

I know this is an old thread, but the last few posts struck my interests. I'm debating with DW on a TV. Where can I find more information on the changes expected in 2011 albeit speculation I assume at this point.

    Never heard of Heartland

Well, DW and I have finally decided on the NT 32QBSS. We aren't in a rush so a winter purchase may be looming if we don't settle on the next thing (see below) Her issues were/are as follows: 1. Halftime Oven - she doesn't trust it, but she will see how it goes. 2. TV location next to the...

    Heartland on HGTV

Man did they do some editing then (after reading that thread). I am still very impressed. I have only seen BH on the lot, so that was impressive (not to take anything away from BH's which are nice rigs too.

    Heartland on HGTV

Did anyone catch the Heartland Landmark on HGTV's RV Show 2009? That is definitely a remarkable unit. I just saw it this weekend while camping. The coach with the balcony took the show, but the Landmark was a close second for luxury IMO.

    New "Hitch" Forum

TT Hitch Confusion I'm narrowed down to the Hensly Arrow or the Propride 3P. However I can't decide on which one is better. I know they are designed by the same man and the 3P is newer. Is it just one of those cases where I can't go wrong with either one? Price is not a factor, but yet a bonus...

    No Fade control

I like the Armada and everyone keeps saying that it tows like a bigger vehicle (with little effort). I have been eyeing the Armada LE. I hope all goes well with the manifold. As for the audio issue, it appears that the wires are connected to the wrong jacks. Post the model you have and someone...

    Tax Write Off?

Yes, that is what I wanted to know. Thank you. My VP was telling me about it two years ago and trying to tell me everything I had to keep track of to give to my Tax accountant. He wanted to buy a coach for our "company outings". I wanted to see if anyone else has or is doing this. I see so many...

All in the angle - can commode be angled?

That is okay with me if HL will allow it. Can someone from HL please chime in? Ray, that is one of the things I was fearing, the lengths of the hoses. Too often there isn't enough of play for such changes. Also looking at some of the "mess" posted in other threads, I wasn't sure I could easily...

    Tax Write Off?

I was talking with some people at work (one being my boss) and the topic of being able to write off the cost of my HL (or part of it) on my taxes if I use it for work. I travel a lot for jobs and shows and we have been looking at using an RV for those stays. It is amazing how many "nature"...

All in the angle - can commode be angled?

I was wondering for the TT family of HLs if you can request and get the toilet to be angled for more room. I have noticed this in other TTs where it adds to more room without requiring more space.

    Staunton River State Park

Big Country at Colonial Williamsburg KOA

I guess it wasn't anyone on this forum. It was a nice rig. One of my friends who owns a trucking company is interested in one now. I can't wait for retirement if I can have toys like that. As for the Landmark, I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

    It's here!!Mixed feelings...

Just the fact that HL recognized owners and prospective owners' concerns like this and look to implement them is such a welcome site. I have sat in many R&D meetings with companies that deliberately dismiss the concerns of the consumers. I love it when a company doesn't let thier growth dictate...

Being in the engineering industry working with multiple vendors (plumbing, electrical and etc.), it is better for each team to be as clean as possible with their work so the next crew can easily do thier job also. Heartland website - problem with NC video

This is also happening to the NT videos too. Video stops at 11:07 but audio continues. Is there a way to download the full file? I tried features in Firefox, but it did the same when downloaded. I have a feeling that the issue is within its recording/streaming method settings. Depends on what...

    Never heard of Heartland

I didn't think about the possible deal for buying two at the same time. We are actually sitting here discussing it. They are looking to trade up thier TV to get a bigger trailer. It is going to be a good holiday weekend in a couple of weeks when our whole family is here with their RVs at the...

Irvin56, how did I miss that vid on the site. Thanks. I have been reading up on Northtrailers.com too. The question we have now is if we should wait until winter to purchase. I'm not in a rush since we RV now (actually as I type this while waiting for breakfast). I know we can get some winter...
