Last weekend we parked next to a Bighorn and the owner had a nice Ford PU dually to pull it with. He was telling me that Ford installed the trailer brake controller and that it worked in conjunction with the trailer. So far so good. But, then he tells me that the anti-lock brakes on the Pick-up...
For those that have been asking for more interior photos of all the Heartland units I've found the following website to be beneficial:

Checked out Weyerhauser's website on "Structurwood" and it is a OSB board.
OSB board doesn't seem to be regarded highly by RV users.

I'm a little concerned about this.
Any comments??

On the Bighorn, is there a Gel Coat on the front & back caps as standard or must we order a Gel Coat Option?
I don't understand the brochure statement, "High Gloss Gel Coat Exterior Glass". I wouldn't think you would put Gel Coat actually over the glass.. :o)

THe new brochure (dated 1/06) says the Bighorns come with the Mor-Ryde Suspension System.
Does this system includes shocks?
How many ? 2 or 4??

On the new Bighorn Brochure (dated 1/06) it still says the main A.C. Unit come with a remote. I thought due to problems with the remotes that Hearland was discontinuing them?

Just received the latest literature on the Bighorn ( Dated 1/06) and I don't see it mentioned anywhere if the bedroom is A.C. Prep'd.
In case we buy one instead of special order I'm wondering if we can add a A.C. unit later??

Bighorn publishes that they use "hydraulics" others use motors (rack & pinion?)on their slide mechanisms.
Just wondering which is best and why.
Many thanks,

Again I apologize if I'm posting this to the wrong area.
Noticed on Bighorn's literature that the rear and rear side windows don't open at all. No cross ventilation. First 5th I've seen with this.
Are you owners happy with that layout??
Many thanks,
Bill B. (Michigan)
I think I posted this to the wrong area so I'm posting here also. Sorry if this is not correct.................
We have a concern with the " 5/8" Seamless Weyehauser Structurewood".
Very familiar with 5/8" marine plywood but I know nothing about this "Structurewood"..
Anyone know how it...

Shocks & Mor-Ryde on Bighorns
We are sold on the Mor-Ryde suspension & King Pin System. But, we are wondering, if we order a Bighorn with the Mor-Ryde does the trailer still come with shocks??
I know it may be a stupid question but I've read conflicting reports.
Many thanks,
Bill B...
We noticed in the Bighorn literature that the slides are operated by hydraulics. Is this any more reliable than standard electric motor (rack & pinion) mechanisms?????
Also does each slide have its own operating switch?
Many thanks,
Bill B. (Michigan)
