A phone call isn't "documented", and their customer service ignores their e-mails as good as the dealer does. You guys need to get your Heartland glasses off and realize this is very common. The old "2 sides to every story" story is getting old.

The bikes are all "Specialized", with the heaviest one being mine at 28 pounds. Then there is a females bike and 2 smaller adult/larger kids bikes. None of those 3 weigh more than 25 each. Pretty close to 100 pounds, and the receiver isn't the part that had the problem. Thanks for your replies...

I'd say it's too much for a 3/4 ton's GVWR in most cases. Pin weight probably isn't bad, but overall weight of the unit looks to be a bit too much. I'd have to side with the rest of the dually guys this time. ;)

He said from rear bumper to front LANDING JACKS. I haven't measured, but that would sound about right for our Eagle Ridge 35 DSRL, which is actual almost 39' long total.

By the way, it's also got a loft above the rear bedroom that can sleep 2 extra kids. We have 3 boys that love having the bedroom and loft space as their own. There are 2 TV shelves, a desk and room for 4 kids to sleep if necessary. It is a very unique layout. I strongly suggest checking one out...

Maybe you aren't looking hard enough. The Elk Ridge Line has a floor plan option very similar to that in the 35DSRL with the rear bedroom option. :)

We have the same situation with our Eagle Ridge- the back door has 1 key, the main front door is another, and the baggage doors are a 3rd different key. Not fun.

The frame, springs and brakes are the same in the 3/4 ton or 1 ton. The only difference is the extra leaf spring in the 1 ton, and the tires. So upgrading the tires does indeed get you more load capacity, maybe not "technically" but in the real world.

If anyone has a home sprinkler system and blows it out themselves, they probably have one of these already made, and even have a valve installed. ;) Never thought about using it for the new 5'er, but it's good to know it's no longer a single use invention. :D

We have the same 35DSRL with a 4" square bumper. I attached a bolt on receiver hitch and a "4 bike" rack. We've "tested" it out and everything worked just fine.

Ours had that decal on it as well, but the dealer removed it before we took it off the lot. :)
