    Fresh Water

Thanks for the replies. I did see that 45 gal doober at camping world, but it seems akward? I was told about some containers that come with a pump to transfer to the trailer. I will do some research... Thanks again, Mo

    Fresh Water

Does any body have any ideas on how to carry extra potable water for dry camping. I mean I know the obvious answer is to take containers. But are there any suggestions on which type that will fit in the truck bed with 5th wheel. Are there some that have a hand pump or something similar to...

    Unhitching

All, thanks for the great replies I am still new to this whole 5er thing and I really appreciate this site. I guess if you think about it the pin never really chaged orientation, it's still just a round stationary pin floating in the air as a target right? So it really would not matter at what...

    Unhitching

Just a quick question about unhitching. I have found myself sometimes after backing into a site, my truck is not facing straight ahead anymore and is turned one way or the other. I then struggle to get it aligned before unhitching which can be quite a chore sometimes. Can you unhitch...

    Fifth Wheel Hitching Question

Hello all, I just bought my first 5er and am doubting the un-hitching process. 1st you let the front leggs down to the ground right? Then you extend them until you see a small gap between the hitch plate and pin box? Then you release the locking handle right? Just seems like my landing gear...

Satellite to do or no to do?

Thanks for all the replies again. I think I'm going to install a dedicated line through the side of the TT. How hard is it to drill a hole all the way through, what are the chances of hitting something (i.e. stud, pipe etc..) I bought a lead in kit that has about 8" of coax in between the...

Satellite to do or no to do?

Thanks again. Cookie I found out the coordinayes I was given were wrong for my zip code. I called the Winegard folks and they set me straight. They also said I could just point it South and do it mannually. Kinda bummed about the local channels. I thought I could get to where I was going...

Satellite to do or no to do?

Thanx for all the quick responses. I purchased Wineguards new MP1 potable system. Seems to work fine except for local channels? Direct TV is supposed to be coming out Thursday to figure it out? My questions are: Are network (ABC, CBS and NBC) just something one has to do without? And does...

Satellite to do or no to do?

Ok, I'm looking at getting the dish with the tripod set up. I was told to drill a hole and run a separate line into my coach as I don't have a sat outlet. I do have a cable outlet though. Is this the best way to run the set up? Should I poke the hole so it's nearest where the TV is, and have...

    Generator

Yeah, I read the dB rating for the Husky and it was 73dBA. I found a ETQ also put out by home depot and it was only 63dB? Brute, why are the dealers recommending the honda 3000? Just asking I'm trying to learn as much as I can.

    Generator

Hello all, have been looking at the Husky line of gens. Is a 3650 watt sufficient to run my TT. I only have 1 AC and a micr/convection oven as the biggest draws? Thanks

    Generator

Ok, I'm looking into buying a generator for my TT. All I keep hearing is how great the Honda line is quiet and everything. Is there something out there thats comparable to quality but only costs one arm instead of two arms and a leg?

    Heater

Thanks for the repplies. I did not have the battery hooked up in storage and I'm sure that is why they were dead. I talked to the dealer and they explained thet it takes quite a long time to fully charge the batteries plugged into the house 110v. They said if the batteries are not...

    Heater

OK, went camping in cold weather for the first time. Noticed batteries were dead when I picked up the trailer from storage took it home plugged into power and everything seemed fine the next day. However after running the heater off battery power for about 8 hours it would not come on again...

    Dead Batteries

Thanks all for the great replies. I will take a meter out there and check them. I guess it won't hurt to disconnect them now anyway?

    Dead Batteries

Hello all, I went to check on the tt the other day as it's been in storage for about three months. I noticed the batteries are dead. I assume they will re-charge like normal once plugged back in to either the truck or house, right? Thanks, Mo

    Anode

Cookie, Thanks for the info. Looking at mine I think it will last another season. I didn't realize the outer part was sacrificial. I'll probably buy a spare just in case. Thanks, again, Mo

    Anode

Took out the anoderod to drain the water heater yesterday for mild winter storage. Las Vegas doesn't get that cold in the winter. My question is when should these anode rods be replaced. I noticed some corrsion but not sure what is too much corosion? Thanks, Mo

    Main breaker

Thanks for all the good and fast replies. Sounds like I need to use the gas water heater option next time. Rncap, yes I just thought I would try the 50 Amp connection just as an experiment, figured at that point what could it hurt. Thanks again, Mo

    Toilet Fill Leak

Have a 2010 28RLS, noticed that sometimes when you use the foot pedal some small amounts of water burp out of the fill valve area, top of the toilet? Not a big deal, as it was only after three days of camping I noticed a small puddle at the base of the toilet? Weird I know? Thanks, Mo

    Main breaker

Hello all, Took the 28RLS TT out this weekend, was using the halftime oven while the AC was on and kept tripping the main breaker? We were hooked to 30 amp and also tried 50 amp, no difference in outcome? Now we have done this before at another campground with no problem. However this time we...

    Loud straining moans and noise

Thanks for all the quick responses. I loosened the sway bar a little and it was much better. I had a dealer tell me when I bought my 1st tt a 19 ft hideout that I should tighten the sway bar just snug with two finger pressure then one more quarter turn and it seemed to be fine. When I traded...

    Loud straining moans and noise

Just wondering if anybody has heard all sorts of noises while making a turn with their TT. Not sure if its the WD hitch chains being too tight, ball etc.. I'm told by some this is normal, but seems to be exessive at times and kinda embarrasing... any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Mo
