    Accessing landing gear motor

I have a 2007 3795 cyclone with the generator in the front. The way I changed my landing gear motor was by taking out the extend/retract panel to the right of the gen. doors. I just took the screws from around it out, this allowed me to get to all the bolts and nuts that I needed to get to...

Are there HVAC vents in the garage?

Sunnygirl, I have an '07 3795 Cyclone that has a/c in the garage, and no heat vents. My furnace is located right under the fridge right next to the garage wall. I took off the vent cover in front of the heater and found that there are openings precut and covered in the heater plenum. I cut...

    rails and rings

Thanks Scott, I'm glad to know that the rails and rings are on their way. I kinda figured as much about the oven part. I've asked the dealer why they don't just get the part locally and I've gotten "it's ordered". Last time I talked to them, I suggested that I'll replace the stove assembly...

    rails and rings

Hi Scott, I would like to purchase extra tiedown rails and rings for the garage area of my cyclone. I've asked the dealer to order them for me. I want the same ones that came with the trailer so that I can interchange them as needed. So the dealer has to order them from Heartland. I've...

    boondocking in oregon

Hi all, I live in the portland oregon area and am looking for out of the way places to go camping. I don't need hookups, (cyclone) I just like getting away from the usual crowds once in awhile. Also have 4 dogs, not much fun at a campground. So if anyone knows of places to go that might be...

    Heater Not Strong Enough?

I had mine in to the dealer for the same problem except that I had good air flow out the vents in the main area, but almost no air coming out of the vent in the bedroom. The dealer told me that Heartland uses the framing to run the heater ducts in and where they make the turns, (ie going up to...

This is the water tank fix and wiring cleaned up

Loco, Nice job. I like the way you did the vents. Much better idea than putting petcocks on all of the vent hoses. I never did understand why they have 4 vent hoses. Just a way to give us something to do. I haven't yet pulled my panel out from my pass thru, but I'm going to do it in the...

    QC Discussion - General Dis-satisfaction

Jim, I to want to say that this is a great forum and that I've learned so much, and have been able to use many of the great ideas that people have come across in their experiences. I'd also like to note that I think you are doing a great job of moderating this forum. Keep up the good work...

    QC Discussion - General Dis-satisfaction

Wild Wind, No I don't work for Heartland. And, Yes, I've had my share of problems. I took in a full page of problems and left my 5er with the dealer for 6 weeks. Got most of them fixed. I'm like you, I would much rather fix it myself than let someone else do it. For 16 years I worked for...

    QC Discussion - General Dis-satisfaction

Just a reply to all that want to complain about the quality of Heartland. I worked for a Ford Truck dealership for 16 years. And we worked on many different motorhomes. Anywhere from the $70,000 range to $300,000 plus range. Think about taking your house and putting it on wheels and taking...

    Water temp.

water temp Diesel engineer, The only intake mods have been to change the air cleaner to a high flow AFE air cleaner. After looking at the air box and where it picks up it's air, I don't feel that an after market cool air intake could do better. As for the turbo ring, I have mixed feelings...

    Water temp.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. Well it seems like I don't have very much to worry about. The temps I had on my trip seem to be right in there with most everyone else. I do have a EGT gauge in my truck and it stayed below 1200* all the time except if I pushed the truck real hard...

    Water temp.

Hi All, I am the proud owner of a Cyclone 3795. I finally had a chance this last weekend to take it on a long weekend to the Oregon coast and ride in the dunes. What I'd like to hear from anyone with experience in there travels about what their tow rig maintains for water temps. I tow with...

    Sewer Hose Storage

ToyHauler, I did just about the samething. I bought a 4" pcv pipe with a couple of end caps. But I mounted mine in the back by the fuel tank. Easy to mount with a couple of hose clamps as the fuel tank mounting bracket has a couple slots cut into it, one at each end. I extended the tube to...

trying to obtain spare tire wand

spare tire wand Thanks Scott for the quick reply. When you find out anything about the spare tire wand, please let me know. It seems that the dealer did a good job of putting the underbelly back together. They used some kind of tape that was about 3" wide and it seems to stick very well. It...

trying to obtain spare tire wand

I had my Cyclone in at the dealer for about 5 weeks getting the little warranty items fixed. At the time I asked the dealer to get me a spare tire wand. When I picked it up and asked about the tire wand their response was that they are waiting for it to come from the factory. It's hard to...

    Heater

On my 3795 my underbelly has a full cover and I am told that the heater has a vent that goes into the underbelly to keep the tanks from freezing. Since I don't camp in that cold of climate, I'd like to cover this vent into the underbelly and put more heated air into the living area, because...

    fresh water tank venting

On my 3795 I have 4 fresh water tank vents. One in each corner of the tank. It's not a very deep tank and the problem I'm having is that when I'm going dry camping and fill the tank up full, going down the road at least 2/3 of the water will slosh out of these vents. I've had people that have...

    Television Reception

Rob, I have the same problem with the reception in my cyclone, none. I pulled the boosted receptical from the wall in the bedroom, the antenna should go there first, and then out to all the other antenna's. It has a place for one cable going in and three cables going out. They forgot to...

    spare tire tool

Hello, I got the info on the spare tire use, and the generator use. Great info. Thanks. I hope to be getting more on the cyclone as soon as you get it. One question, How do I go about getting one of the spare tire pulling tools? My coach didn't have one in it from the dealer, and the...

    more tech info

Tom, Yes I did a walk thru with the dealer. Since this is a new model for the dealer, they couldn't answer alot of my questions. I'm interested in knowing things like the charging rate of the converter, is it a trickle charger or an automatic charger that turns on and off when needed? The...

    more tech info

I'm the new owner of a cyclone. I've read the manual and find it to be lacking in technical info. I'd like to know more about the systems on the rv. As in: Battery charger/converter. Water valves. What are all the drain tubes for. How to run everything. I've got the indivual manuals on alot...

    Cyclone Fuel System Q&A

Hello, I just purchased a cyclone 3795. The owners manual that came with it is a little vague on many items. I would like to find out if I can get a manual that covers things like the converter (ie. how much charging it does) What are all the drain hoses for. What is the proper way to drain the...
