Since it is known that the tires that Heartland is putting on the Bighorns have problems and do not stand up to travel as they should why can't Heartland just pay the dealer to change out the tires on any Bighorn that one might buy and have the customer pay the difference for whatever tire they...
I have been doing that Jim but thanks for the reminder of that. It just takes me a while and I don't normally stay online for great amounts of time at one sitting.

I already have a PDI to use for checking the unit out but thanks for the advice about that. What I was looking for was what Tinkers replies with, the known probkems that the early 2006 Bighorns had so that I can have them attended to even before the PDI, especially about the fireplace and the...
major headaches that the early 2006 Bighorn models had? I understand that the QC department wasn't working too well back then and I would like to know what it is that should be looked at and hopefully have the dealer to repair them before taking off in the unit. What can anyone tell me about the...
OK, our local dealer, about 330 miles away, has a Bighorn that I still want. I know that it has been sitting on his lot for a very long time now, as it is an early 2006 model before they made the floor plan changes and such. We do have the VIN number if it would be needed. The only problem we...

Would someone be kind enough to list what the main changes were made to the Bighorn for the later 2006 midels? I am seriously looking at a 3500RL but it is an earlier 2006 unit and I would like to know what it doesn't have or does have that the newer models or the 2007 models have or don't have...
Thanks ever so for the pdf files. I can read them. We are looking at the 3055RL to full time in. We really like the 3500RL but with the interest rates that keep rising then we have had to scale back a bit.

I looked at the Heartland web site and couldn't see if there was an option for a 13K A/C in the bedroom. Is there not one or am I not looking in the right place? I am talking about the Bighorn and not the Landmark units. If there isn't an option for this then is Heartland planning on offering it...
I wanted to be sure and thank the factory for answering my questions I have had. You have proven that you care about the consumer and that means a lot. I would rather pay a bit more for something but get good service than to just go cheap. A BIG thank you to all who have taken the time to answer...
You are so right. We looked at the Montans and I didn't think that highly of their work at all comparing them to the Bighorns. And let me tell you that my eyes were burning and I could not even finish going through some of them because of the fermaldihyde (sp?) in them.

I do like the 3500RL a lot and so does the hubby. I just did like that one that was on the dealer's lot. If he still has it when we get bready to buy we are going to look at it bit I am not sure that it has the double pane windows and such that we would want. I guess that there is no...
I realize that we can still get the island insert but I was really wondering if the layout like the one in the pic could still be ordered? I have the copy of the new floorplan but this older one like in the pic is much better, in my opinion anyway. So, are you sayin that the particular layout...
Would someone be kind enough to tell me what floorplan this picture is for? I was told by the dealer that it is a 3500RL and it is on his lot at this time but it doesn't match the 3500RL floorplan that I got form the Heartland web site at all. Is it an earlier version or what? Is it still...
Oh we full timed before and only sold and quit so that we could work on this last property and get it sold. We had sold our other RV because we knew it would take a while for us to get this darn property up to snuff. I am sure you realize what renters can do to some places. Anyway, we...
I would like to know if a Bighorn can be ordered with the carpet ONLY under the slides? I really am not a fan of carpet but I do realize that you need it for the slides but I would prefer to only have it for the slides and have the Armstrong flooring throughout the rest of the fiver. Is that...
OK, basically all I am looking for at this time is negatives and positives of the Bighorn unit for full timing. We are almost ready to put our last piece of rental property up for sale and then we plan on ordering a fifth wheel for full timing. Most of the time we would be in the southwest part...
