After 14 months with our Elkridge, we decided a month ago that it was time to move on. We have purchased another SOB fifth-wheel.
I have learned a great deal from this forum and the members here. Heartland has done a good thing in hosting the forum.
I wish you all well!
Can anyone tell me how to access the check valve on the black water flushing system? I believe I have a leak in it as I get some water running out of the bottom of the trailer when I flush the tank. I can't seem to figure out how to access this valve.
Some idiot that will remain unknown, hooked up the battery backwards when I went over to pick up the RV from the storage lot this weekend. Seems that the converter that Heartland installs on the Elkridge 34QSRL has fused protection in case some unnamed idiot hooks the battery up backwards.

Had an unfortunate occurrence this past weekend. While out camping some very high winds came up and broke a large limb off the elm tree we were parked under. The good news is that it only broke out a glass window.
The bad news - Heartland parts tell me I can not get a replacement pane, but...
It appears that the connection between the docking station and the Living Room TV is not working. I have replaced coax connectors on both the satellite and cable connection on both ends. I know the satellite system (antenna and receiver) are working as I get reception when I run a cable directly...
After having our new Elkridge for a few weeks, I'd like to make a few suggestions for changes. First let me say that so far I am pretty happy with the fifth-wheel.
The winterizing valves are very difficult to get to. It requires that you crawl up into the basement storage and remove a panel (4...
Had the Elkridge out for the first time this past week and discovered a couple of issues. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't suffering from operator error prior to dragging the RV the 60 miles to the dealership for service.
Seems the water heater only works on propane. When I turn the gas...
Just brought home our new Elkridge ER34QSRL. Really beautiful rig. Overall we are extremely happy with it, however the location of the winterizing valves and siphon hose is not going to work for me. It is accessed by crawling into the basement storage, removing an access panel (4 screws) and...
:)Towed it the 60 miles from the dealer to our home. It really pulled great with our TV. Seemed so much more pleasant than our previous fifth-wheel even though it is 7 feet longer and weighs about 1400 lbs. more.
I did a fairly thorough PDI yesterday, but have a couple of questions I couldn't...
Met and had a very nice conversation with Bryan today at the Denver RV show. Gave me the opportunity to harass him about getting the Elkridge I have on order built. Actually it's scheduled to be built next week. Now he just needs to find someone to haul it out here!
I really enjoyed meeting...
Order it about a month ago. Really looking forward to getting a hold of it.
Interesting side note. We have been looking at a very similar floorplan by Keystone Challenger and Everest. Went to the Denver RV show in January and were interested to find out the the Challenger and Everest lines...
