ATF: Sundance - Rear slide out floor

Well thanks for the info. You have the same carpeting and wall covering as we do! It looks like yours opened up along the face frame and wall. Ours opened up along the carpet & wall junction and extends about 2/3 of the depth of the slide out. When it first occurred we put the slide back in and...

ATF: Sundance - Rear slide out floor

2010 Heartland Sundance 297 XLT RE. Wearrived at our favorite rv park yesterday and when we extended the left rear slide heard a loud pop and now we can seen light coming through between the floor and side of the slide. Covered the space with duct tape as it's pretty cold here. Have already...

Ok searched the threads and think I answered my own question. Duh. Enjoyed the snow in Pahrump, NV though.

    Range hood vent

We just returned from a two week trip and I noticed the flap inside the range hood vent is gone. Anyone know if the whole vent unit is a standard item that can just be replaced or do I have to look for something special?

    Sundance xlt shower door

That's what I thought. Looks like about four screws to remove then I will just be able to flip the door top to bottom and that otta do it. Too funny. Maybe I should send a note with a pic to the factory. Thanks for the offer of help, we live in Sacramento. Relocated in '87 from Huntington Beach...

    Sundance xlt shower door

We think the shower door on our trailer is hung upside down. It's a little difficult to close and the decal on the glass is upside down. There is a clear plastic strip across the top of the door we think might be a splashguard and should be at the bottom of the door. Maybe we are wrong so what...

    Towing sundance xlt

I think your advice is good. I hear that Toyota is going to put a diesel in the Tundra next year or 2012. No question it's about torque more than HP. BOL

    Towing sundance xlt

Towing Report: We have the 2010 297 RE XLT and tow with a 2010 Tundra DC 5.7 2WD. We just completed our longest trip, about 1500mi over the Tehachapis and out to Death Valley area and back to Sacramento. We were pretty loaded incl. some water for a bit of dry camping, generator and food for a...

    Sofa loveseat

Hi Folks. we have a 2010 297RE with the airbed sofa. We've decided that we would rather have a more traditional sofa or loveseat that reclines. Does anyone know if the OEM sofa fits thru the door? Thanks

How do I equip my 2011 Sundance for dry camping?

re: portable generator power: It was a tough choice between one larger wattage vs two smaller ones that could be in parallel for larger power needs. We have never regretted the purchase. Mostly we only use one. They are so quiet and run at least 12 hours on a gallon of fuel. They are easy to...

    Wheel removal

I have a 2010 Sundance XLT 297RE and we did our shake down over the weekend (nice 5th wheel!). After arriving home I noticed a 4 inch nail in one of the rear tires entering on the outer tread band and exiting from the side wall. Usually this means the tire is toast. I have a 10 ton bottle jack...

    LED light conversion

Brand new unit but thinking about changing the outside marker lights to LED's. we saw a trailer on our last trip and noticed that you could see the lights a long ways off. Maybe will add a red lightbar to the bottom edge spanning the rear cap. I believe there are direct replacement units...

    Another Newby

Been happy campers for 28 years now and pretty much done the whole western states. Sold our ultra lite trailer and purchased a 2010 HL 297RE XLT and are preparing for our first trip in about a week. Sure is different pulling a 5th wheel vs. TT. It's just us now and of course the 3 schnauzers are...
