Good choice on the king pin. We had the 5th Airborne installed on our new Cyclone last year, and driving 2,500+ miles from Washing to Alaska was real smooth considering how rough and bumpy some of the roads were. Those stabilizers will come in handy, especially if you have to park alongside...

    So excited!

Congratulations! You'll defenitly enjoy your Cyclone. With breakup already here and the main roads Clear, you could possibly take it out to Kings River. Seward would be another place to go before the tourists get here. Enjoy, Kurt

    RV Shipping Questions??

Hey Jake, Welcome to the club and congratulations on your new purchase. I would recommend asking the factory to make shipping arrangements for you or try locating an RV dealer nearby and asking for help. Having your Cyclone shipped up here would cost approximately 10k. We were going to have...

    Kingpin Stabilizer Tripod

We have the JT stabilizers and the King pin tripod. The JT's work great! We parked alongside the highway one night and felt no movement, even with the big semi rigs flying by our huge 41" billboard size 5er. The tripod does a "fair" job at best in keeping the RV movement to a minimum. I've...

    Better cold weather protection

Thanks Retired CPO, I had the UltraHeat installed with its own dedicated 15amp circuit just for that reason.* As for the hose, I went with the FlexoTherm (see below link) because the product is made in the US by an American company that is veteran own.* I researched the No-Freeze and PIRIT...

    Better cold weather protection

We are currently in Alaska, full timing in our Cyclone at Elmendorf AFB campground, which has power but no running water. We had the UltraHeat pads installed by the dealer on all 5 tanks and all 3 dump valves. Tried to use the UltraHeat the 1st time out winter camping (25 Feb) only to find out...

    Curt 5th wheel hitch

I do extensive research on everything that I purchase and so I went with the Curt Q5 20K. It has great side to side movement, safety features, easy to disassemble and maintain. We drove over 5,000mi from Washinton to Alaska and was impressed with it's performance. We also have a Reese, 5th...

    Change of "Heart"land !!

We looked at all brands of fifth wheels for 4+ years before we settled on the Cyclone. The landmark and Bighorn style have awesome residential style interiors, but no privacy for our kids. the only place for the kids to sleep is in the living area. That wouldn't work for us. The Cyclone has two...

EVENT: Heartland Owners Camp-Out: CA, Yreka - 6/17/2011 to 6/19/2011

PJ, Do you fully trust their work, and what about their reputaion and customer service? I quickly Googled them and it looks like a nice Mom & Pop business, which is who I prefere to support rather than a multi million dollar national company. But having high expectations, I want quallity first...

1 year of POI excellence and low clearance avoidance.

Trooper D, Thanks for taking the time to share this important information. Because we have a 5ver that's over 13ft high, I cringe anytime we pass under anything. Having this info will greatly relieve that stress and make traveling safer for all. I plan on down loading the software this week...

    Purchasing a 3612 need advice

I would like to echo what Truknutt listed. We purchased the Fifth Airborn pinbox prior to receiving our new Cyclone 3612 HD. It will protect your new investment and make the drive in the cab a lot smoother. We drove from Washington to Alaska and were very thankful to have purchased the unit (the...

    New to the Heartland Community

Hello everyone. Gwen and I are finally breaking out of storage our new Cyclone 3612 HD that we bought last summer and will be preparing it to live in for an undetermined amount of time. We are currently living in Anchorage Alaska and will be moving to Golden Colorado this summer, where we...

    3612 tow vehicle?

Welcome! To answer your question, no. With the 3612, you shouldn't use anything less than a 1 ton diesel. On the F250, you'll be putting a strain on the rear suspension and overheat the V-10 on steep grades (5*+) and warm days. Not to mention, the V-10 is horrible on gas. IMO, towing anything...

    A fun picture

Nice photo! I'd love to have those grafix colors on our Cyclone HD. It would also go well with the yellow truck.
