Cookie, thanks for the reply. Moving the mattress to change sheets, make the bed, etc. is now much easier with the plastic sheeting.I was unaware of the strength factor. Maybe the factory could/should install something like we have done to eliminate the problem in the first place? Duramax rules!

Perhaps I could offer a suggestion for the Caliber people? The wooden base for the bed is made from particle board. Whenever I move the mattress, it leaves many many slivers of that particle board on the floor & also stuck to the bottom of the mattress. Needless to say, you don't want to step on...

Just bought a 2011 Caliber. Literature that came with the trailer did not explain how to heat the water electrically. Our manual said exactly the same thing as you experienced, both switches need be turned on, & then the water was heated only with gas. Hint, on our unit, we found a small switch...

Could not get the hot water heater to heat electrically. The manual says only how use the heater using propane. Found out quite by accident that there is a switch with a pin in it, almost hidden, in the water heater compartment. May I assume turning on that switch will allow me to heat water...
