Braided lines and PEX interconnected

It has taken me several months to finally find a small drip that was behind the UDS. What surprised me was the mixed use of PEX and the reinforced white water lines, also attached to PEX fittings with PEX clamps (which is where mine is leaking). I searched the archives and did not find any reference to problems or concerns with this mix. I realize the PEX will not make the tight turns some of the white lines make but has anyone else had problems or concerns with this mix of hoses and fittings?

It's hard to get a good crimp on the braided line because the inner diameter is a bit larger than PEX. I've been meaning to get some stiffener inserts to carry for the next time I have to work on one of those lines.

I have found that these work good on the pvc side. You need an adapter to the pex.

I have experienced the same problem. Found a fitting on Amazon that solves the problem. An adapter from PEX to the poly flexible hose. I bought 10 but haven’t had the problem again, yet.
