ATF: ElkRidge - Converting Dinette to Bed 2017 38RSRT

When I take the legs off the table and set it on the rails, the foam insert does not fit. The insert that was with the trailer is 2 pieces held together with some leather/fabric and measures 42"Lx32"Wx5"H The opening for an insert is only 42"Lx27/28"Wx8"H

Did we get the wrong insert or are we missing something in the conversion?

The backrest pieces are sewn to the backs of the bench pieces.
