Hey campers, I have been reading many posts regarding towing with a 3/4 ton truck and its frowned upon, but its an 09 and we are still making payment so it will have to "do work" :) According to the specs we can pull 15,300# and the 3500RL weighs 12180# dry. I think we will be maxed out, but...
We move the chairs to the side and the Sofa to the back, and everytime we closed the slides we had to move the sofa back to the side because the sofa is 36" wide and the space is 32" wide.
So we are tipping the sofa back and removed the bottom back legs and voila it fits.
Sure is easier...
Does anyone here in addition to "caissiel" tow a 3500RL with a 3/4 ton? We have a new Chevy 2500HD D/A but I am afraid it would be pushing the limits to tow a 3500! We live in the northwest corner of WA State and traveling the Cascade Mountain passes is a normal routine!
If you do...how is it...
Hello to everyone We picked up our new 2011 BC 3500RL last week in Knoxville and its now home parked on its new pad. This is our first 5th wheel having owned 4 motor homes prior so we will probably be visiting this forum quite a bit. We have a couple of issues that need to be taken care of but...
I have not used my outside speakers for a while now because one of the speakers is hissing like its failing. I looked on Ebay and they sell the same units at 19.95 a pair. There is a 49, and a 79 Pairs also available by Jensen's. Has anyone upgraded these units so far, I am about to upgrade...
During our trip south the pocket door broke the stop screw in the pocket and derailed in the pocket. I was able to reinstall the door and locked it open with 2 screws. The screws holding the kitchen pantry were to long and the door was damaged by the screws. Why does a company allow the workers...
We are going to try to see one of the new BC 3500RL units in person in a couple of weeks. My question is will we be able to handle it with our 2007 2500HD DMax Chevy truck?
We just bought a New 2009, 3500RL BC and I went to install our 2100 Splendide Washer/Dryer Unit in the W/D Prep area. I needed to remove one Door frame to make clearance for the Unit. There was 1/2" Missing. Then we realized that the upper part of the closet could be used to store our everyday...
Question on E-Z Lube Hubs on 3500RL
Am I correct that the wheel must be removed in order to grease the axles on a unit with the aluminum rims. My old unit had the rubber plug for the fitting sticking through the hub cover. On the 3500RL the hub is solid.
In the owners manual it says there is no...
Howdy folks....
Been lurkin' for a while on these forums and now it's time to start asking questions. By the way, the site has been great for feedback on Heartland products as I'm currently in the market for a 5er. I am going back and forth between the 3300RL and the 3500RL due to GVWR and...
Just came back from weekend shakedown of the rig and I was extremely pleased! Other than a minor leak in the bathroom sink drain, everything went great. The 3500 RL was a pleasure to tow --- had to check the rear view mirror to make sure it was still behind me! The 3500RL exceeded all of...
