So I found this very odd but my 2022 traveler somehow had the entire brake system on one wheel blow apart, i’m so glad the truck was able to detect that. It looks like it was happening for a while because there was actually a flat spot in the tire where this occurred, I assume for a dragging for...
I have a 2011 Cyclone 3010 with the standard electric drum brakes. I am thinking about upgrading them to hydraulic disk brakes, probably use the Kodiak product. Also requires installing an electric hydraulic actuator. Has anyone done this ??? Any comments, pros or cons ??? Also looking for axle...
Has anyone had any problems with Dexter axles on their 40' Cyclones? We have a 5th wheel and we lost brakes the 3rd day we had it. It has lost brakes 4 times since. Its magnets, missing components in the drums, overheating. It does not take much to throw a magnet. They do not activate evenly...
Hi all, we were trying to troubleshoot the trailer messages and we knew we had one hot wheel, last wheel 3rd axle passenger side. We thought it was a wheel bearing. When we took the wheel off, we discovered a brake pad retainer spring sticking out from the drum assembly. When we spun the drum...
Hi all. I am a Brand New Heartland Owner, and a Pretty New Camper. Prior to purchasing my New Pioneer 250BH, I owned a much smaller R Pod. It was cute... This is AMAZING!!
Before leaving the Dealership 3 days ago, though, we realized that there was a Brake Light issue. Although Both Turn...
Found a very nice 2011 3510RL, essentially "unused"! Pick it up Wednesday after they detail it out and check all the systems, then we do a PDI etc....
Looking through some online specification site (which no I can't re-acquire, maybe RVT or one of those guys --- not a Heartland) it said the...
Day before yesterday I lost a tire. The blow-out made a mess of my brake wires. I've got more loose wiring than I have places to go back to.
Does anyone have a diagram for the Dexter set-up. The manuals page has a lippert but it Doesn't match what I have.
Thanks in advance.
I know this has been discussed before but I called Mor-Ryde to ask about them and the person seemed to think I would need to upgrade my axles on my Bighorn 3670RL from 7000 lbs to 8000 lbs. This does not sound right so I thought I would find out what the ones of you that have changed to disk...
I have been traveling the east coast on my way to Florida, and while driving on I84 to Scranton PA my trailer brakes started to jam the wheels so hard that I could not put the brakes on the truck without draging the wheels at normal setting of 70%. So I removed the front right side wheel and...
Well here it is 3 years from when I picked up my BH. All in all I still would buy another. A lot of little problems but nothing major until now.
After 3 camping seasons we were on our way back from Dorney Park in PA with the grandkids when my brother in law from behind me tells me that my rear...
Has anyone switched over to disc brakes. Silly question huh. I was looking at them on the mor/ryde website but didnt see any pricing. If you have them what did it cost and was it worth it.
Thanks
Are drum brakes adequate for the 3670 trailer?
It seems to me that everyone has moved to Disc brakes and yet I am told that BigHorn is staying with drum brakes.
Is there a reason for this?
Just curious..

I posted this to show how the magnets once powered, grab the drum and apply the brakes.
The more power applied to them, the magnets grab harder and stop trailer.
I know some of you. New and old...
Hello heartland people,
Can you tell me :confused:what braking system are on the Cyclones? Are they electric or electric over Hydraulic. I'm asking this as I've read issues with Chevy & Ford trucks that have the intergrated brake controller(IBC).
I just took deliveryNone on a new Silverado...
3 out of 4 were working. The defective one had most of the wires inside the hub fried. Looks like they rubbed against the drum and shorted out.
We are getting ready to head out for our second outing (Approximately 900 miles this time) with the 3110DS. After our first outing into the desert, at...
