sliding cover

I have a 30 ft Heartland toy hauler with a Dexter brand screen door. The sliding cover for the latch broke. I found a replacement but can't figure out how to get it into the top and bottom slots. I don't see an easy way to separate the frame pieces from the door without removing the screen...
