I have a 2016 landmark Keywest
My dining slide has an awning factory installed where the brackets for the slide topper also needs to be installed. The topper bracket is about 5/8” thick, my idea is to remove the awning brackets and install the topper brackets and then shim the entire awning bracket out 5/8” and tap the topper brackets to receive the awning brackets.
has anyone done this before? And does anyone see an issue with this install?
I plan on using solid 5/8” HDPE the full length of the awning arms so there are no voids for deflection and also caulking the new larger joints to conceal the HDPE
BTW
i just bought a new F-450😁😁
thanks for the help!
