We wanted to replace the jackknife sofa because our daughter found it less than comfortable. I unbolted and removed it, replaced the particle board with 3/4 interior plywood because the bed extend 6 inches beyond the old platform. With grandkids, I chose to face the plywood edges with pipe insulation. I ordered a custom sized mattress for the odd dimensions. I really like the results. Anyone need the old sofa?
