Hi ezmuny,
Welcome to the Heartland Family and to the Owners Forum.
Sorry you're having a problem with the A/C. Can you add some details about the failure? Maybe someone might have some ideas on what's wrong. (I assume you've already flipped the circuit breaker off and back on).
The warranties from Heartland and appliance suppliers don't include on-site service. They all require you to take the rig to an authorized dealer. If you had a situation where the nature of the problem prevented you from getting to a dealer, you might be able to get an exception. But that's not likely for an A/C unit.
While the A/C warranty doesn't cover on-site travel charges, you may be able to get pre-authorization to use a mobile service company. You'd have to pay for the travel charges, but the onsite labor would be covered by the A/C manufacturer (Dometic?) I've thought about using mobile service myself, because it costs me about $25 in diesel to get to the dealer and back. If I add in cost of other wear and tear and inconvenience, an $85 travel charge starts to look more attractive.
Not all mobile servicers are certified techs authorized by Dometic, so if you pursue this route, make sure you're using the right tech. Also make sure you have agreement with both Dometic and the tech on whether the tech will get paid by Dometic or if you'll have to pay and get reimbursed.
