If anyone could help me with this i should would be grateful. i have a northtrail model 21FBS 2009 model. my issue is i can turn the thermostat on the ac to cool and you can hear the compressor come on but it does not blow air. i took the external cover off and found the fan will not turn and the motor gets very hot if the thermostat switch is left on. i am thinking if i change out this fan motor i may be good to go. went had an estimate and they want an unbelievable amount to work on it so i will either get it done my self if i can find where to get the part or will have to install a portable ac unit. can anyone share any info they may have had with this issue, any knowledge on this and where i may be able to locate the fan motor to order to change out.

Thanks
Jw

Hi Mr. Jw,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

Did you try spinning the fan when it was on? If so, did it start running? If it started running then you might just have a starting capacitor that is bad. If it did not run then it is most likely the motor.
If you need to pull the motor I would look around for a small electrical shop,, Mom and Pop type and see if they could repair the motor or sell you one.

I know yall gotsum shacks ovr derre dat cndo dat.

Ijest gotta cum dere purty soon..caus Im gettin hongry fer soum gooood coookin.. :) :)

I think that ANY Air Conditioning servicer can repair your unit, if they want to; so you may be able to find a much better price from a local independent AC guy. Ask around.

BTW, does the fan run when you turn the AC on the FAN only function??
