Air Conditioner/Furnace

We own a Heartland BH3800BH. We are having problems with our air conditioning/furnace turning on at the thermostat. We turn it to AC or Heat and it does not turn on. We had this problem about a couple of months ago but it started working again a few weeks later. Now we can not get it to work. What do you think our problem might be?

Have you removed the thermostat and checked for loose wires?
You might also want to look at the wires up in the AC unit.

If it is both the AC and furnace, it must be the t-stat.
